Hey everyone once again
Over the last year or so I've been thoroughly enjoying the pleasure of taking MDMA at Trance nights (Paul van Dyk recently... fucking amazing
) with friends, relatively responsibly, and it's been absolutely incredible. I have a very good connection, of consistently, reliably, pure MD.
How often I've taken it has varied, I never take it with less than 2 weeks in between, and generally up to 2 months. I took it this weekend, the time before that was 3 weeks before, the time before that was 2 weeks, before that 5 weeks, you get the picture.
Although I'm often out until 6/7am, I never binge through the next day. I get at least 4 hours sleep shortly after the event, and I take about 400mg 5-HTP in the days following. Apart from smoking weed fairly regularly I take no other drugs.
Generally I've not noticed any significant gradual reduction in the intensity or magic of the experience, infact the second to last event I went to was probably the most intensely good I've felt off MDMA. This is probably because I was back in one of my favourite (small) clubs, at an event which 6 months earlier had packed up and stopped, because it wasn't making enough money. They decided to start it back up again and I can't describe how amazing it felt to be back in there, sat cross legged on a podium overlooking the dancefloor, with the lasers blasting me in the face and the bassline vibrating through my legs. For 10 minutes I sat motionless with my eyes shut, in absolute nirvana.
I'm still taking pretty much the same dose throughout the night now as I was a year ago.
However I am still very wary of the danger of taking it too often, and it's not as if MD doesn't have its downsides either. Although I don't get depressed or have a comedown in the traditional sense, I do find it much harder to focus on work in the first half of the following week, I'm a programmer and it certainly damages my ability to focus and figure out how I'm going to code whatever it is I'm working on. It's also mentally and physically very draining.
This post is turning out to be quite long isn't it!
For these reasons I've thought about trying something new and alternating between it and MDMA. The main purpose is to allow longer breaks between MDMA use, to help ensure that it stays as special to me as it is now. Another drug that is reliably available to me is 2-CB. Reading about it, it seems to be a nice half way point between a euphoric stimulant like MDMA and a hallucinogen. I'd probably try it at home first before taking it in a club.
My main question is whether or not MDMA or 2-CB (or anything else you might think I'd like
) have cross tolerance, and whether their negative side effects will reinforce each others. I also have access to LSD, but I think I'd rather save that one for a few more years.
Stay safe everyone
