I am from Portugal, and there is a popular drug that is "md". It's a white powder, I dont think it is mdma or mda, and nobody that takes it or even sells it can tell me what it is. "Is just MD" they tell me... I never heard of MD on the internet, i searched and found nothing... When they took the drug, they dance a lot, just that. Anyone know what is this? 8(
( I put this in the mdma discussion because of the name "md"...)

The closest thing is MDxx, Pill Reports puts it well and brief:

MDxx is MDMA and/or drugs closely structurally related to MDMA, such as MDA, MDEA and MBDB. The term MDxx is used because most common reagent testing kits cannot distinguish between them, and neither can most subjective users. MDxx is generally known by the street name "Ecstasy".

I don't know of a chemical called "MD", but there is new stuff popping up with different names every where.

I don't really have a problem with you asking the question in what this is referencing, but if this turns in to a discussion of "it might be this" rather than answers, I'm going to shut this down as we don't identify substances as a rule on Bluelight.

I live in the UK, "MD" is common shorthand for MDMA, I imagine that's what your friends are talking about.

That's not true site-wide, but it is in the ED guidelines.

Personal possession of drugs isn't illegal in Portugal, so they generally have good stuff, and MDMA is pretty cheap, clean and available in Europe. Obviously a test kit is advisable, but I doubt it's PV.

since this hasnt been closed...

if people smoke it than it could be MDPV, but get a test kit its the only way to know

I'm happy to leave it open if the question is merely "what does this mean".

As Vader said, it is likely that your region just calls MDxx "MD"

I think you have as good of an answer as you'll get.

This will likely lean towards substance ID so I'm going to close it up as it's resolved.
