nope you're not the only one:) he's tons of fun [pun intended] but not much of a live dj. all his half assed gimicks really get stale after about 20 minutes

I just moved up into Baltimore city by John Hopkins Univ. because I'll be taking 2 classes there this fall. How about yourself, are you still in the area of Montgomery County??

Hey, aren't you the same person that was groovin with us to Donald Glaude's set at One Nation just recently. hmmmmmmmmmmm Or were you just twirling around and jumping around like I was also doing scooping out the ladies =D

I was too busy being disgusted with the fact that he was still trainwreckin' when GV (who was standing right next to him on the stage but didn't spin) shoulda been on.
If your memory served you better, you'd remember I was really laughing at you being turned down by all the hunnies during his set!!!!! bwahahahahaha

No, I didn't meet you at this party but I did briefly meet you at last year's Starscape when you were hangin out with starlightgemini
And I do remember that we had a conversation that we both workout at the same Ballys' on Rockville Pike

I think I smoke entirely too much weed to have remembered anything from a year ago, especially since I hadn't talked to you since then.. I don't go to that Bally's much anymore; I've been working out at Fitness First in DC 2 blocks from my work. Much more convenient. %)
 
god damn it... i had my whole thing typed out then it wouldnt let me post it because i had too many smilies... sooo i hit back... and it was all gone. ill try to repost it sometime but just know i <3 you all! and cant wait til next year... and jamie... we'll finish this later. ;)
 
Even though I didn't go to the actual party on Saturday, I had a lot of fun on Friday night. It was fun finally meeting all you Bluelighters!
 
Yeah...Donald Glaude is a hack.
He hamfists his way through sets with dodgy "turntabalism" and looped video game techno filler, occasionally pausing to turn off the music and yell "make some fuckin noise. Just mix, man, and properly at that. The vibe in the tent was awesome but I couldnt stand the monotony of his set.

I left the tent, walked over to dnb in the rain and mashed it up with a mob of hardcore junglists to fabios killer set. The rain was fallin pretty hard, there were no lights, but what better place is there to experience jungle than in the jungle.

Donald Glaude is one of my favorite DJ's, I love the fact that he put everyone's signed autograph from Buzz on the CD he put out. I think he plays good music and is all about the fans...
 
Memories....


Dinner at the ESPNZone - Every *great* meetup needs some chill time the day before to hang out and get to know people. Glad we got this together, depsite buzzy taking us to Gay street repeatedly (perhaps some subliminal message there?).

2.5 hrs at Best Buy with Evoldica trying to get him a new f'n cell phone :X Then for the rest of the weekend, hearing every few minutes something to the effect of "Oh Great! Another feature I don't know how to use. How much are they charging me for this?" :D

Asking Maui2k his real name, then getting the look of "Don't ask me again, I've already said it too many times"

Aly sleeping.....again...

Griff bringing a bunch of taco's to the "non-party" room to maintain his reputation, then forgetting them and leaving them there. That room had to smell funky by checkout time between the tacos, the spilled drinks, the *party favors*, and the general post-event-raver-smell. 8)

When *everyone* finally crashed Sunday morning, Fizzy & Ken_xl & I *couldn't* sleep so we just kinda talked in general, not so much salad shootin' as just chilling in the daybreak hours. It was nice.

5 trips to/from the airport, and no two of them the same. I swear, I musta got lost a different way each time, but still kept people on time for their pickups and dropoffs. Yeah, me. :\

Musical Highlight - DJ Craze at DnB, wondering when he was coming on and finding him coming on stage just as I walked up to see if he was on yet - then dancing sober (yes, I danced, and yes, it was sober) to his set from 11:30 until 1:45 only stopping to catch my breath and sip some h20, then getting back at my intended workout for the weekend.

Musical lowlight - missing every other set I really wanted to see because I couldn't remember who was playing when, and upon which stage :X

Visual Highlight - seeing all of you. Seriously, the whole weekend was packed with new friends and old ones, and everyone one of them brought a smile to my heart. These pics will be relished for years.

Visual lowlight - overcast sunrise on the waterfront...disappointing, but nothing we could do.

Two favorite moments - shooting salad through the sunrise back at BBB & CeeCee's 'non-party' hotel room balcony with people, and my conversations with Finder. Not to say the rest of the weekend contained any disspointing moments, in fact I can't say there was anything I'd want to have changed, just saying that these two stick with me the strongest.

Perhaps my favorite "quote" would be the discussion involving PLURFinder coming to the event, since Finder couldn't be seen at a *gasp* "electronic event" and have his Phish friends find out about it ;)

On second thought - I wish we'd have worked the room with Crow's video camera (if he'd brought it) and had a re-make of the OuterLimits "Why are you here" interviews by ebow and Crow. Would have been an interesting listen with this newer crowd.

That's it for now. No shoutouts - I love you all too much to play favorites. None of you disappointed my image of you (other than Finder not being Australian), and in fact you all improved my image and opinion of you. Sheeeeit, I might even show up again to hang out sometime ;)

a week later an i'm finally posting about SS. here goes...

i had an awesome time this year. i was sort of borderline about going for a while due to other circumstances, but at the last minute i decided to fuck it and go. i'm GLAD i did.

i spent most of the weekend with my friend bobbi jo, who i haven't seen in years. damn, i missed her.

my only regret is that i barely saw the BLers i already knew and i think the only new BLers i met were ollie and junglejuice. there were SO many people at SS that i wanted to meet. oh well. my plan was to head over to the grassy knoll after dara's set, but then it rained. people left or hid in the tents, making it difficult to meet up with people. next year, next year.

to everyone i saw last weekend: thank you for helping me have a great time. we will see more of each other next time.
 
im not about to type up my entire shouts again... but ill just say this: nicole, ollie and brian... what an amazing time we had!!! couldnt have shared a room with better people!

and the bl'ers that i just met... or saw again... sorry for the generic shout outs but had it worked the first time you'd all have something special :) damn me and my over use of smilies!
