Most definitely. I vote for the grassy knoll as we've done in years past :D Though, unlike last year, I won't spend my entire evening in the meetup spot :p I'm wandering around for sure.

Where's Web with his eloquent description of the grassy knoll? ;) I personally am not concerned with what time we do the BL meetup since I'll be heading up with most of you guys anyway. CARAVAN!!!!!!!! :D

^^I'll be there on the hour every hour...or will try to at least. Who knows where the night will take me?

BTW, how are Baltimore nights? Should I bring a hoodie or is it excess baggage?

Well.... it's late July so..... it's still usually warm at night. I want to bask in the warmness that is the night air of MD :p It doesn't get as warm up here in PA EVER! :(

btw... I mentioned it last year and I'll mention it again.. ladies.... being on the waterfront = frizzy hair. You have been warned :)

Let's make a big banner that says "BLUELIGHT!" hahaha. Actually last year several different message boards held meetups and they all actually had big banners with the site name. I'm not down for that idea personally. But I'm not the decision maker either :)

Who was it.... E-girl maybe..... that wrote "BL" on her hand or something and that worked out well? I dunno. I've already met most of you and the ones I haven't I'll see b4 I head to Starscape so... it's whatever. I will be nowhere near the meetup spot during BBB's and Steve Smooth's set. And I am kidnapping as many BL'ers as possible to come with me to dance to the wonderfulness that is Chicago House <3

Not all who wander are lost ;)
I also am somewhat nomadic, so forgive me if I'm only "at the knoll" periodically - sober or othewise - there is just so many things to see and people to do

also, if i go to the party, i am bringing a 30 pack to tailgate outside in the parking lot with....i dont see why they wouldnt let me.

As far as the meetup spot goes...... I pulled this from Web's post in last year's thread:

There is a path leading through the trees toward the water, where the majority of the park is. Entering the event, you'll see the path and will be able to follow the flow of people up into the park. The "Grassy Knoll" is basically the first spot of grass (to the right) that you can step on as your walking up the hill on the path past the entrance (towards the clearning where the first aide, vending and port-o-johns are). I wish I could draw a freakin map... it's sloped, and is the grassy side of the first big tent (which was the DnB area last year, and it was the main stage/tent the previous year) that you see as you walk up into the park.

Same place as last year, for those that attended :)

I'm down with the every hour on the hour for meetups. I'll try to be there for some of the times.

Well, there isn't exactly a parking lot. Then again every year they seem to do different things with parking :\ I still think 2002 was the best because we parked far away and got shuttled to the park on big giant yellow school busses thus creating a HUGE clearing for the main stage (STAGE NOT TENT!!!!!!!!) which kicked ass b/c it gets too fucking damn hot in those tents :X

But yeah, my friends have tailgated outside the park for the past couple years with no problem. You just can't bring alcohol into the gates.

Attn: slackers who don't have their tickets!

The lovely miss dreamgirlie19 and I are going to find some time Saturday afternoon to go to Modern Music in Baltimore because she still needs her ticket. If there are others who still need their tickets and want to join us for a brief trip into Baltimore, PM me :)

I wont be there like I planned :( boooo! See you guys some other time :\ (I'm taking a bit of a break from the board as well) <3 you guys

Note on parking...

Anyone who feels like they may need to leave before sunrise might consider parking on the street on the way in instead of getting put 3 or 4 cars deep in the main parking area.

Don't they designate a certain area and forewarn people that they should only park there if they intend to stay til 6am? I know they've done this at least one of the past 3 years :\ We parked about a 30 second walk from the gate last year. Arrived around say.... 11 and left around 3 or 4 and had no problem getting in or out. Others parked a 1/2 hr walk away. Madness.

But I really do think that the field right out front is for people who want to stay til the end and they DO warn you that your car will be blocked in if you park in that section. We just followed the directions of the uhh parking attendent guy and parked between two trees lol :p Katie did an awesome job of backing up into the spot!

This year, I'm driving and I warn those of you coming in my car.... I am teh suck at backing up to park. I also suck at parking on the grass. Oh well! :D

Yeah I remember the parking on the grass thing from last year...I plan on staying till the end. I'm paranoid though since we're getting a rental car that something might happen to it, since the cars are going to be packed in...eek that would be the last thing I want to deal with. But we should be cool right?

we parked on the grass last time because the only parking was faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from the venue. we werent about to walk that. but we got out just fine.

yay i'm sooooooooo excited about all this :D:D

Parking last year seemed to be a little more coordinated, and they were pretty good about leaving space b/t the cars and all. The year before we took a rental car too, and there weren't any problems with it. Definitely make sure you don't get yourself blocked in and all!

*dances around*

Oh my... only a little more than 48 hours until I leave!

Many of you have my number, I'll be in the room with BBB, Trancey and the crew from the Northeast.

I am SO DOWN for tailgating before the event. :D The hot weather is perfect for mass quantities of beer!
