Sorry my dear, but you are mistaken ;)

Sunrise festival is something they used to put on but don't anymore. I think there was one in 1999 and that may have been the last one they had. I could be mistaken on that.... but I know Starscape and the Sunrise festival are two seperate parties :D

BUT there is definitely not a Sunrise festival in Baltimore this year so..... OMFG that would be awesome if Donald Glaude was there too.

I'm loving all the awesome house djs on the line-up so far. I'm so happy =D

Well...if this party is really happening on this date, and the line-up is up to par.. then I most likely will be there. hehe
Otherwise, IMO, this just seems kinda sketchy to me...I don't like the idea of searching DJ sites in order to conjur a line-up..especially now, when pertinent info shoulda been out already.

I have something to say you people really need to hear.

To begin, I want everyone to know I don't know Lonnie or any of his people, this is all mere observation and logical thinking.

You guys see a promoter having serious political problems, and because of bad experiences in the past you automatically yell "Sketchy". Step back and think about it for a minute. We all know that Ultraworld caught a lot of flak last year due to the passing of the rave act, and starscape almost didn't happen at all. If you don't know that, you weren't paying much attention. It stands to reason that they are going to have the SAME problems again this year, because you all know that you can't convince politicians with one show. You have to prove yourself again and again, playing lip service to any number of fucking local political hacks. And then you still can't convince them, you have to pay them off to look the other way. Let me tell you people, I've had some experience dealing with regional and local politicians, and if you think the FEDERAL gov is a bunch of assholes, try local. The Ultraworld people are probably too busy sucking politician dick to announce a line-up.

Think about it from the TALENT's side too. Last year was a clusterfuck as far as logistics are concerned. It's going to be hard for Ultraworld to book people, because all the talent remembers or has been told about the problems from LAST year. Would YOU take a gig that might change the date or cancell at the last minute?

Just think about it from the other perspectives before you start freaking out. Ultraworld has always put on quality events, at least since I've been around here. The last couple of years have been tough on them, no doubt. However, I do not doubt their integrity because they experience some problems. But you know what? If you don't like it, don't fucking come. It's that simple. Some people have already made the decision to pass, and more power to them. More room for me.
