Yeah but for him to advise people "not to give the production company their money if they change the date again" is not fair. Sorry I just don't like people unjustly badmouthing the people that have thrown the most fucking amazing parties I've been to that I have many many memories from :p

Just because they are throwing an amazing party...doesnt change the fact its shady to change dates and not even announce it. Tis all i am saying. I could really care less what anyone thinks of it..i will make my own decision. JadedRocka is allowed to voice his "badmouthing" just as you are allowed to voice your praise. Regardless, i hope they do not change it again, because i also wont be able to go...hell i am not sure i can even make it to the date they just changed it to.

I recall several events threads in the past where people have been told not to badmouth production companies in here. Hell, there have been flame wars in here over the subject when people from the production companies also happen to be registered members. There's nobody here from Ultraworld to defend themselves, so I'm doing it.

I don't want to get in a battle over it though :D

Well if the party really ends up being July 24, that is the same weekend as WEMF which SUCKED last year, so I would definitely chose Starscape. I need to request the time off from work asap for this so I hope the date doesnt change again. A lotta people are coming for this from far away, let's hope they make a definite date for this party and stick to it!

OK guys. There's a good chance I may come back east for this one!

I have a free airline ticket anywhere Southwest flies. :)

I discussed coming out with a couple folks in this thread and if Ultraworld will firm up a date, I'd love to party with all of you.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for dates, and if they work (I may be going to Hawaii in August with the family) then I'll be there. :)

i'm not sure on all this shit about it being shady on changing the dates...i mean we're still like 2 mths away from the original planned date--it's not like it was next week!

best plan: don't ever assume a date is final (at least mostly so) until they are selling tickets. if they sell tickets, THEN move the event, then yeah, that's a little shady. til then, i'm just seeing it as a tentative date!

july is better for me anyway :) gives me a chance to get my big ol ass in shape for you guys ;)

I fully agree.

I was shocked some people actually booked flights/hotels already. Personally I wouldn't have done so til I lineup had been announced or til tickets went on sale. Regardless of the reputation of the promoters. Because sometimes shit happens :\

Kristen, I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Ultra is paying you to come on here and speak well of them.

What I'm saying is, that.. I, personally, meaning myself, I wouldn't pay money on a party that wasn't that great last year, along with them being extremely shady and changing the date for the party without an announcement. I, myself, meaning me - Dave.. I would advise all of my friends to follow suit.

I had no intentions of goin to SS this year, due to the fact that my friends, meaning me and the people I hung out with, fouind the short time spent at the actual party would have better spent hanging out at the hotel.

So from my personal experience.. meaning, based upon the sequence of events that occured last year.. and also based off my current take on "the scene", and partying in general.. I see no reason to give a production company money if they're going to dick you around.

Their parties have been amazing times for me. That's all. I'm just defending the local scene of my (old) hometown.
