I wasn't impressed when I saw them perform a year or so ago. I'm not really into visual effects and performance shit. The only "performance" aspects of a DJ's set I really care about are how into it they are. If you can tell the DJ is enthusiastic about spinning and loving what they're throwing down... and getting more pumped up seeing that they're making everyone dance and get excited.... THAT is performance. None of this stupid light show tricks and silly costumes.

I am SO over that :p

RITM was all novelty a few years back, it's just played out now. Boring been there done that type.
 
I'll be wearing a bunny outfit and dancing non-stop to the RITM show, they are by far my favorite in the lineup and the more of you that blow them off means more room for me to enjoy it! /sarcasm

Honestly, I caught RITM about 5-6 yrs ago in NOLA and had a great time. Granted, I wasn't sober ;) , and the show was my first time being 'visually entertained' by the performer in addition to the music (I think they played music, I don't recall). I really liked it...but a lot's changed in the last 5-6 yrs. I'll still stroll by their stage, but I probably won't be sober (I hope).
 
Starscape tends to have a performer who SUCKS every year.
Last year was Donald Glaude.
This year is RITM.
The rest of the lineup is SOLID though.

I just cant respect a DJ who has vinyl pressed at the same tempo and STILL wrecks. People like his "energy", but he should pay a lil more attention to his technical skills. I think he has gotten worse over the years.

also. never seen RITM live, excited to see them regardless of other opinions hehe. sander, only heard VERY little... whatever nicole has played for me.

but pendulum, tech itch, and EVEN uber hot stuff im super 80s electroclash wannabe jon B... im excited to see. :)

and btw... in case ya havent figured it out... that means i AM for sure back in this biatch! =D
