MD and Tram - after the storm

Hi new user here, I have looked for answers in old threads but not really found anything that answers my question, so here goes ...

I'm a stimulant person, also sometimes into opiates (only mild ones Tram, Codeine etc), but mostly Coke (given it up as the 2 weekly binges were not doing me or my heart any good) and ... rarely Meth .. very rarely. Am off stimulants now after what I thought may have been a stroke although in hindsight it was probably over-amping and CNS sensitivity to Meth after doing far too many bumps in a short period of time treating it like a short lived stim like Coke... lesson learnt..

However my question relates to MD, I'm not a habitual MD user, only really used it at the odd dance in the last 5 years, (it's really one of the least addictive drugs out there due to the relative lack of dopamine release IMO) but done a bit more recently - over the last 12 months probably done it about 4/5 times, normally if the coke etc had run out. Few weeks ago I went though about 400 mg, probably less, (snorted over about 8 hours) after doing a point or so of Meth. I know it's a bad combo, but I've literally only done it a couple of times and made sure the max amount of meth I used was a couple of points or less. Everything in moderation as they say

Anyway the comedown from this combo, as expected is shit - Even though on average it works out to 3 months plus between rolls, last time it took about a month to feel normal again and only after exercising, eating well (I'm athletic, not fat, in good shape) .. and using 5HTP for a few weeks. This time I've been taking some tramadol I possess starting a day or so after the binge, but my question is, does this prolong the recovery?

Tramadol over the last few months works well as an off-label anti-depressant for me, only ever using 50-100 mg, maybe 4/5 days a week with breaks in between and I thought it would help to to take it for the last week or so to mitigate the comedown. I've been taking 50 mg 5HTP per day and around 50-100 mg Tram about 3-4 days per week for the last 2 weeks - obviously it's not worked like it usually does due to my serotonin levels being depleted, but it does improve my mood and I'm interested to know if others follow this type of procedure and whether it just delays your recovery?

Adding the 5HTP does nothing to improve my mood, although I know its replenishing the stocks, it's only when I take the tram that i feel better, as if I'm making better use of the serotonin available, although I'll concede it could just be the opiate effect.. is it best to just stick with the 5HTP and other supplements for the next few weeks, and ride out the storm to make a quicker recovery?
