Hey guys.. So Dave's been seeing a very intelligent and compassionate Psychiatrist whom he greatly admires for the past few months. He amazingly helped him jump directly from 45mg of Methadone to Suboxone and get him into an outpatient program, among other beneficial and wonderful things.
Long story short: Big family trauma occurred a couple weeks back and took a break from the subs. Today, Dave made the wise decision of heading to a crooked Doc to get 90 10mg Norcos for the arthritis caused by his Lyme Disease. But what surprised Dave during his session with the doc was the fact that he asked Dave if he had been prescribed Suboxone recently (State Rx Monitoring?). At this clinic, mind you, you pay cash and use no insurance. So Dave told the doc he used the subs to get off the hydros he's been taking over the years for his Lyme pain.
Not only is Dave curious as to how the crooked doc knows about his Sub rx and freaked about technically lying about his opiate habit.. but just as importantly, doesn't know if the genuine Psych is (or will be) aware that Dave just received the Norcos. Anyway, Dave has an appointment with the Psych this coming Wednesday and he's completely stressing as to whether or not he should come clean about it or let it be and see if the matter comes up on its own.. or not at all.
The guilt is eating away at Dave and is wondering if anyone here has any thoughts on the matter.
Thanks much guys, hope you're all well.
