31 days. Feeling actually pretty good today....weird. I actually had a pretty damn good day and barely craved at all. So glad I didn't pick up last weekend when I wanted to so bad....
Even with suboxone/subutex? I've been thinking they're just stopping me from going through withdrawals but now I'm wondering if they're doing more than that! I know some people abuse them and get high off them but they've never done a damn thing for me in that way.^^ Lowering dosages/tapering can absolutely cause cravings. You're depriving your brain of a substance it feels like it "needs". Always try to remember that cravings WILL go away regardless of whether or not you use, they won't last forever. Think of your cravings like a dangerous animal - feed it, and it will grow stronger; starve it, and it will get weaker. Try to keep yourself occupied especially if your having a particularly tough day. Sitting around alone and bored in your own head is the most dangerous place for a recovering addict to be.

That's what I mean, I've never abused it-- I get absolutely no high from it whatsoever, it just stops me from going into withdrawls, so I'm surprised that tapering is causing me to get these intense cravings'. The only opiate that gets me high is heroin, subs, pills, methadone, don't do anything for me.
My cravings are for heroin, not subs.
