maximizing available opiates?

So I have 8mg of hydromorphone and 10mg of hydrocodone. I have mild experience with opiates (Have tried hydromorphone, oxycodone and hydrocodone on several different occasions). I plan on snorting the 8mg hydromorphone followed by taking the 10mg hydrocodone orally. I have a mild tolerance to opiates (My standard dosage of hydrocodone is 30mg to achieve a decent high). Will taking the hydrocodone in addition to the hydromorphone extend the effects or would I just be wasting the 10mg? Should I simply save the hydrocodone for when I have enough for a decent dosage?
