Max TRAMADOL in one go

What is your max TRAMADOL dosage you have taken in one go ? (of course without any problems like seizure,...)

For me it was 300mg

IMPORTANT : I'm talking about TRAMADOL only

Because I know if you add, for example, Klonopin (clonazepam) you can go much higher in Tramadol dosage without a seizure risk

I haven't tried too much in one shot, 150 or 200mg I think. I didn't feel a noticeable difference at higher dosages, just some mild cns depression which is a little scary. Of course I don't have tolerance.

I'm in the camp that feel that the metabolite works better when staggered dosages are applied. I know the seizure threshold is >400 mg in 24 hours. I haven’t heard anything yet that cautions against 1 shot dosages <400 mg that risk seizure, maybe someone here has some additional knowlege on this.
 
ive taken up to 800mg, BUT make sure u use some benzo if u wanna go higher then 400mg
 
50mg...the very 1st dose of my prescription that i took...gave me seizures! Strattera did the same thing to me though. My body seems to hate SNRI's...if you've never taken tramadol before, see how your body reacts to 50mg before taking some huge dose.
 
1,000mg - 1,200mg. I was hooked on them for 3 years. I have taken absolutely MASSIVE doses over time in a day...but it was bad and unsafe. I'm not bragging. Well...sorta... =)
 
Been dependent on this stuff since 2003 and my first dose of the day every morning is always the biggest. 100-150mg for the first dose. Then 50-100mg scattered throughout the day.

Tolerance doesn't seem to be an issue even after 7 years.
 
For a first time user my dosage recommendation would be 50mg.

You have to understand that after the receptors become DESENSITIZED (tolerance sets in aka 'tachyphylaxis'), it is possible to take doses up to and even exceeding 1g.
 
I'm confused on this one, does it have any recreational value on its own ? if so what kind of dose?
 
It varies.. some people find it recreational, some don't at all. The recreational bit is the metabolite, o-desmethyltramadol, but tramadol also has SNRI properties (like the antidepressant venlafaxine and some others) and can cause seizures...

This is a really old thread and there's been a lot of tramadol chat on here lately so am going to close it - sorry atm, we try to keep threads short and sweet here. Max daily dose is 400mg but someone on here seized off less, and others take more and are okay (not advised!) - it's not really one to play about with IMO... especially as so many other drugs lower the seizure threshold and make seizures more likely.
