I was reading about a ayahuasca clinic near me, and I saw that they wrote "please try to avoid ingesting alcohol and ejaculation for 3 days before the clinic"

I never thought of that before, but it's interesting. Do you find that sex/masturbation in the days leading up to your trips can have a positive or negative effect on the trip?

I think orgasm does have draining effects on mental/emotional energy. That's just my own experience. I'm not going to make the claim for other people though.

That's weird though, because it's such a natural function of the human body....I guess what I'm saying is I'm planning to trip tomorrow and I'm wondering if I could squeeze in a masturbation sesh tonight

Well there's that whole TED talk about what masturbation and porn-addiction does to your brain-chemistry, so there might be a benefit. I think that clinic just said that to get the whole "tranquil, serene, spiritual"-vibe going rather, ritual does great things for tripping!
