on the subject of handshakes...
walking home just a bit ago, i ran into this native who is elderly, homeless, wheelchair bound, and sleeps along the side a building here a couple hundred yards away, he always asks for 40 cents. and honestly says it is for a beer.
earlier in the day i gave him a dollar and pushed him around in his wheelchair for probably near a mile - lol - to a store to buy a beer, which the cash register guy walked from behind the counter to grab it for him no questions asked. after that we back tracked to the 'little red mom&pop spinbar barber shop', but we didnt make it there before i gave him over to my neighbor friend who was passing by..so i could continue my important biz and such n stuff.
now
some back history has been explained, just a little bit ago, i was walking on the sidewalk back to my place when i saw him being pushed out from where he sleeps by someone else!

a big fella, another native with lots of tattoos in his 50's, our friend in the wheelchair said that he was cousin, that is blood, real blood, he was staring at me intensely, his eyes are that iceblue, pupils fully dilated both with partial cataracts. he asked looking at me in that NA voice, short and abrupt, "are you afraid to shake my hand?!!?" he reached out and his palms were black, i asked, "why would i be scared to shake your hand, man?" he said something i couldnt understand, his cousin said his name was, 'a long family spirit name' bookaapatabuhuma - etc etc. grabbing my hand making as reading eye contact with me as possible, then we raised and stepped back extending our arms chest or, heart level a moment of silence then i introduced my name.
he glazed over and we went silent again, i could feel "cousin" in the chair watching us, then cousin i was meeting and i went into that bubble, where there are only you and who you are with and everything is silent all light goes dim, all other surroundings are for that moment non existent. he began reciting something, seemed like he began shaking or vibrating rapidly, when he then began reciting faster, differently and louder, he did something with our arms i dont remember most of, but it ended with him using his thumb and index finger to cling onto like an eagle would, he then began sliding that grip up to my elbow, grabbing in the same fashion my right bicept/tricept. i could feel him with a knuckle roll and pinch the largest vein of my arm. we continued with the eye-lock and merkaba shield, he said something more in his native tongue, which i heard while walking away as - "the Spirit is high; the Spirit is high in you; the Spirit is high amongst(with/in) us" that was it with him, i shook "cousin" in the chairs hand again and then walking away i got lightheaded, my heart then felt weightless, and i was at a loss for breath crossing the street looking down towards them until they were out of sight.
"brother" and I was another unbelievably interesting meeting i posted about in TDS.
