Mary J and benzodiazepines

I been prescribed benzos(klonpin) for years now. Seems i dont get much off it any more. If i try to get a buzz not much happens. No euphoria. Though if i take a few mg/ and wait half hour or so then smoke they kick in Hard.
I wonder how this works out because i thought cannabis was a GABA inhibitor.

on another note, if doing the same thing but using synthetic noid's, the clonazepam effect is either unaffected or brought down by the chem.

Been on them for 6 yrs. now though but when using a different benzo that normally dont take such as diazepam i wont have the need to have a cannabis break.

Being prescribed benzo's, especially the same one(s), for 6 years will cause you to develop a tolerance.

Weed tends to synergize well with other drugs (see: Is weed adaptogenic?), and I'm guessing the addition of that to your medication helps overpower your tolerance. I have no idea the science behind it, everything going on in the body.... essentially, though, this is what happens when you combine drugs that have synergistic effects.

I just dont understand because pharmacalogically weed would technically (well should) negate the effect of a benzo but seems to kick them in for me. As well as my friends say same. Also most synthetic cannabinoids inhibit GABA but to a greater extent. I can see why they dont work as well not being natural and exposed to humans for such short time .

Not sure but I have to say some kpin and some xanax with cannabis is one of my favorite mixes =). The euphoria I get from mixing these drugs is amazing. Followed by a deep sleep xD.

Euphoria from benzo's is still something I just don't understand. Even benzo's and weed. Meh. They work good for general anxiety and nervousness and mixed with alcohol make me a mess but, they don't get me high on their own or even with weed. I just feel sleepy and high on weed.

Xanax is, in my experience, the best for a giddy, euphoric high. That shit makes me feel invincible in my mind. Not reckless... just able to handle and think my way through any situation that might come up, because I'm the fucking man when I've got a few bars, blunts and beers in me.

If I take 10mg of valium on its own I just feel relaxed and a bit sleepy.

If I take 10mg of valium then smoke some weed when it kicks in I feel fucking awesome.

It's the same with codeine, if I take 60mg of codeine it does nothing I just feel a bit relaxed because obviously it's such a small dose. But if I smoke some weed when it kicks in I'm fucked and it's awesome.

Weed is just amazing with everything.
