Hi Guys,

I've had a quick look around the net, read the FAQ in this forum, and did a search of bluelight (though it kept coming up with errors), and I haven't been able to find answers to my questions - so here I am.

I've had both a Marquis and a Mandelin tester for around 12 months. Lately, I'm started to become a little suspect of some of the results I'm receiving. Both testers have performed around 40 - 50 tests each (very approx.), and there is around 1/3 - 1/2 of each bottle left.

Q1) Is there a lifetime for these testers ? An amount of time in which afterwards the testers begin to give inaccurate results ? I would assume that there is a lifetime, but I really have no idea how long...

Q2) What is the ideal storage temperature for the testers ? In the FAQs, it mentioned they should be at room-temperature. However, when I purchased the testers, I remember reading somewhere and also being told by the guy at the place of purchase, that they should be kept in a cool/cold, dark place. The shop assistant recommended the freezer - so thats where I've kept mine for the 12 months I've had them. If room-temperature is more appropriate, could my storing them in the freezer affect their performance ?

I apologise if these questions have been asked in the past, I am almost certain that they would have been, but I couldn't find answers anywhere!

Thanks in advance,
