Society let him down?
He was a confessed murderer and yet he lived the life of a celebrated celebrity. Sounds like he was let off lightly.
Hmmm me and Busty agree on something for once... Seriously though, fell through the cracks? Mark Read was one predatory motherfucker by his own admission, there are many people who fell victim to this violent dude over the years and I am sure that they were not all bad people, even if you subscribe to the notion that they were I don't see where it is "Choppers" place to dispense justice and I don't see that he ever really did it for anything other than his own gain. (I admit I could be much more informed about him than I am, have seen a number of interviews and read one or two of his books years and years ago)
I have never understood how he reached such a celebrity status and it really is crazy when you see the sort of tame shit people get demonised for at times but this confessed killer is some hero, why?!
AyahuascaSeeker13, I am curious why you say drug dealers are scum that deserve to die? Are you not a drug user? Does it not then follow that drug dealers are merely supplying you with a product that there is a demand for and are nothing close to scum and do not deserve to be robbed of their lives purely for the fact they choose to engage in this business? Yes there ARE scum dealers, ones who use dodgy cuts or lie to people about what they are selling, I don't believe these are a majority. Even if they were, I certainly don't believe that "Chopper" went around choosing his drug dealer victims on this basis, and I do remember some quotes from him about how drug dealers, in general, were scum, that
might be out of the movie though so there is a chance he didn't actually say that. My point is though, I really don't think you can just categorise someone as a bad person because they sell drugs and you certainly can't murder them for it, come on. Even if you believe that he was right and just in every single one of his killings what gives him the right more than any other person to be judge, jury and executioner?
I am also really curious where you get your "info"? Just because that is who he claimed to have killed does not make it true, as I understand it he claimed to have killed close to twenty people in the course of his life and most of those he was never charged with and weren't really verified, furthermore, in an interview earlier this year he apparently told the journalist that he had only killed a few people or so. (Read that in Mx today, could easily be bullshit as I wouldn't wipe my arse with that shit if my phone didn't die on a long train trip home.) Assuming that is true, he has clearly lied about his killing in the past to promote his celebrity status and sell his books so why would the character of the people he did kill not also be something he would lie about?
Also I am pretty sure that rehab and perhaps a bit of a stint in gaol would make for a much better society than ending the lives of every drug addict who robbed someone for their next fix. Is this the final solution or something? Anyone who's behaviour we don't like lets get some hardened fucking criminal to torture and/or murder? Sounds like a society ran by people as bad as those they are condemning to be honest.
Unless there is something I am missing then your post is seriously lacking in logic. I don't mean this to be a personal attack but I am quite surprised to read some of that shit.
