Whenever I stop smoking weed, I can't sleep for a week. Glad I'm done with it, just made me lazy.
My point exactly.NineStorms said:or are you getting pissed off at him because you think ANY negative publicity on pot is too much negative publicity?
otb01 said:Ok, someone smoke 20 joints a day for three months and then tell me that there's no WD when they suddenly stop cold turkey. The problem here is that so many people here are overly zealous drug-lovers who can't realize that there are risks. This is a harm-prevention forum. Any chemical that is psychoactive will likely be addictive. Get over it. Even erowid talks about marijuana WD.
In case you didn't notice plenty of people are saying marijuana is 100% not addictive and that anything else is bullshit. I don't see how it isn't physically addictive or why it matters if it is physically addictive or not. An addiction is an addiction.pkt said:No one is saying marijuana is not addictive.
off course you can experience some uncomfortable effects if you quit smoking after a long period of use, but its all in the head!
Insomnia and feeling agitated do not constitute physical WD's!
Cannabis is by definition not a physically addictive substance, this does not mean it is not an addictive substance.
Over zealous drug-lovers?You have to realize a large group of users here on BL that also have experience with opiate withdrawal etc see the withdrawal symptoms from weed to be peanuts whilst you might perceive it to be quite serious.
Everything is relative.... but at the end of the day, any form of an addiction is a bad thing and will ultimately cause you grief in the long run no matter what it is.
burn out said:actually it's not. marijuana disrupts REM sleep which causes a REM rebound when you stop. here is a thread on it:

NineStorms said:People who are bagging on burn out, answer me this: are you getting pissed off at him because he's saying there's withdrawal symptoms from weed, and you believe there's no way he can be telling the truth, or are you getting pissed off at him because you think ANY negative publicity on pot is too much negative publicity? I think people are just getting angry here because there's way too much filthy propaganda against pot, and anytime they hear something bad, even if it's true, they're saying to themselves, "Oh great, like we needed this on top of everything else!"
Burn out, I'd agree with you that people are different, and that for some people you can get some withdrawal symptoms that might very well suck, although I think it'd be one in a billion who got worse WD symptoms from pot than from heroin. Are you actually saying pot is worse than cigs or alcohol though? If not, try to include that in your posts, so people don't think you're some type of plant "ruining the movement" or whatever. We all know that the two legal drugs kill far more people in a year than pot ever did in thousands of years, so even though we know our mary jane has a few problems, it still is totally unfair that she's outlawed and behind bars while real killers run loose. Some people think we have to paint her as a flawless angel as a result... she ain't, but she's pretty decent overall.
mobblunted said:Nobodys saying marijuana isn't psychologically addictive, I don't know how this thread got off topic but what everyone is saying is that MARIJUANA WITHDRAWAL ISN'T COMPARABLE TO THE WITHDRAWAL CIGARETTES CAUSE.
Alright I see, but that still doesn't make remembering your dreams a "withdrawal symptom", and that would still make it more of a "recovery symptom" like I said.
I think that we can pretty much agree that your full of shit seeing as your the only one still trying argue that THC withdrawal is more serious then nicotine withdrawal.
mobblunted said:So what, I was really addicted to marijuana too back when I was in high school. I remember me and my homies would go home and scrape for resin because we didn't have any money to buy some weed, looking back, that was pretty low.
What this threads about is withdrawal symptoms, not if weed is psychologically addicting or not, we all agree that it is, but we also all agree that you cant even compare weed to nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
burn out said:marijuana played a significant roll in my developing a very hard to describe condition of "head pressure". i don't blame every problem i have on it but i do blame my head pressure on it (or rather my own abuse of it) and that is very big problem for me. it's very silly of you to call me a "stupid twat" because i suffered serious negative affects from abusing marijuana.
mobblunted said:Throughout the thread you swear like weed is a 100X worse then tobacco.
How do you think you come across to people when they read a post like that.
Exactly, this fools retarded.
Anyways, I'm done arguing with you.
The superbowls about to be on. Go GIANTS!!!
mobblunted said:Who said anything about marijuana, from your name, I'd guess meth/crack maybe?
But yeah I'm outta here for good too.
i got to a point where if i didn't stop smoking it, it would of definately killed me.
mobblunted said:Okay, I didn't specify that you'd smoked yourself retarded with marijuana.
Happy.
I'm really out this time though.
Peace.
