Have you used marijuana at least once per month in each of the last 6 months and are you at least 18 years of age?

If so, would you please help us with a study about marijuana use?

We have no interest in linking anyone’s answers on the questionnaires with their identity. Therefore, to keep your participation completely anonymous, we will never ask you to provide your name or any unique identification number.

As compensation, every person who completes the materials will have a chance to earn one of two $50 gift certificates from Amazon – the survey is programmed to pick two winners at random and you will be informed immediately after completing the questionnaires if you have won. The chances of winning depend on how many people decide to participate.

If you are interested in helping us with this project, please click on the link below, read the Information Sheet, and – if you decide to participate – answer the questions that appear on the web-based survey. It will take about 30 minutes to complete the questions.

If clicking on the link does not take you to the survey materials, please copy and paste the address into your browser:

Thank you very much.

Salutations BGSUresearcher,

Are there any religious groups (e. g. Christian, Jew, Mormon, etc.) or any other "spiritually" motivated association(s), whatever, implied??

:?

Just completed it, hope that helps. Didn't win the gift certificate though. :(
What exactly is being researched anyway? How psychologically addictive cannabis is?

Good question! We are a clinical psychology research group. We are conducting basic research about the nature of various aspects of drug use, rather than promoting a given set of values.

Thank you for your help! I am unable to discuss in detail the specific hypotheses of this study at this time, as knowledge of the hypotheses may affect participants' responses. Very broadly we are looking at one of several aspects of drug use and what tends to make that aspect more or less salient for an individual.

Glad to hear that, we need more research like this to change peoples preconceptions about drugs and the people who use them. Unfortunately the illegality of drugs stops comprehensive research into how they work.

I'll allow this thread but please limit your posts to questions directly relating to the taking of the survey. other discussions such as the pros and cons of prohibition are off topic. thanks.

Just a heads up. If you are trying to cut down or quit cannabis this survey and the video link in it is going to make you feel like smoking big time.
