there's always a possibility of an incident when driving - even when sober - so saying that driving high reduced the chance of your having an accident by 100% (i.e. to zero) is laughable nonsense.

as ever, the onion nails it: "don't get drunk and drive. disregard this if you happen to be one of those people who drive better drunk." :\

I think there should be at least 2 degrees of impairment, and have the charges vary based on it. People that KNOW they are way too fucked up to drive and can't even stand up etc should be felony charge. That is very dangerous. But people not so fucked up should have a lesser charge IMO. Driving after 3-4 beers is by no means safe, but much less dangerous than driving after a 12 pack!

i got my license on speed (yes, seriously...) and i've always figured I am licensed to drive (on speed...)..
why cant stoners just not smoke and drive?
besides, marijuana reduces reaction time...so wouldn't that mean you're impaired at least to some degree?
 
Well I'm going to smoke and drive. Blunt riding everyday mofo.... Oh wait I don't have license so my friends can just drive when I roll the blunt. Yeah driving when high is bad but blunt riding is the best thing ever. And marijuana was detected in everyone because they smoke pot and it doesn't get out of their system as fast as other drugs. That dude who crashed could of smoked weed a week ago for all we know.
