Marijuana Study: Does it make you stupid?

Smoking weed - being high, that is - definitely makes me stupid in some ways.
I become blind to certain things, especially social things, or invent things that aren't there (evil intent in friends' faces, etc.).
But it increases my intelligence in other ways.
I can see/make connections better, I can find patterns better, I can cut through layers of bullshit to the heart of the matter in a way that is difficult when I am sober.

Overall, it is a trade-off, but I often find it to be worth it.

And weed didn't make me anymore smart than I already was or anymore dumb (not by the way ok maybe sometimes). If you're a pothead and really stupid chances are you were just as dumb even before you started smoking weed.
