Marijuana smoking is a way of life

thc = anxiety
lsd=anxiety
XXX=anxiety

benzos = niiiiice
optiates = very niiiice

me = recovering heroin addict that has no desire to touch anything besides what helps with anxiety. for me that is lyrica.

lyrica + suboxone = NORMAL and happy.

lost soul i have been into weed fo about 5 years now and thats why i feel like it is actually part of me because i have been using it for so long rather then when i first started it was just cool to get high, now i just kinda do it like a habit kinda like drinkin coffee in the morning.

MDMA i have done many harder drugs and if anything i feel weed helps me from doing them all the time. Instead of blowin a line of whateva ill smoke a bowl and forget about it.

I know what you mean. Marijuana can feel like another way, or an amplified and enhanced way, of perceiving, it really can feel like part of your 'soul/heart'.
And it can definitely changes aspects of your life. Even a few tokes a week can cause significant changes in your lifestyle.

So yes it's a way of life. It seems like a great way of life at the beginning but eventually feels like it's really dampening your life. If you're a light smoker, you can probably be happy with that lifestyle for a looong time. But if you are a very heavy user, I doubt the magic will last for more than half a year, and IMO the situation will be similar to other drugs moodwise... although you may still own your house :P

I still got really high all too often but I swear, the difference is huge. If you want to make it a lifestyle, moderation is the key. It will make a world of difference for both your highs and your memory.

i used to smoke ALOT of weed back in the day, i used to go through a ounce a week minimum. After awhile i decided to take a break and didnt smoke for 1-2 months. For some reason when i started again i just didnt have the same love for it. Now dont get me wrong, i still love weed but i don't EAT SLEEP BREATH AND SMOKE weed.

as a long time weed head, years and years of chronic blazin...nowadays...with my everyday battle with hard drugs(h)...weed gets overshadowed...but sometimes ill find myself buyin herb when i dont even want it. just because its better than shootin dope
id love to go back to the days where my main goal was gettin 10 on a sack n throwin down with the homies, but then life came around.

It is my way of life!
I dont think its addictive.
I have been doing it for years.
Done me no harm!

^ yea man im definately a light user which is good because if i smoke too much neway it isnt even as enjoyable as if i just hit it just a few times. Too much thc in my system causes me slight anxiety and even slight anxiety can ruin the high for me and it seems like i never really grow much of a tolerance so i guess i am lucky my anxiety keeps me from smoking too much at one time and my always low tolerance lets me jsut take a few puffs and be set for a few hours

continue like this and you'll either stop or move to harder drugs. soon getting a new bag and collecting stamps will be the new rage

if you get easily addicted to weed just wait till u try something harder

Other drugs don't really have a very similar culture surrounding them, except perhaps psychedelics and MDMA. How does being very into weed and the culture surrounding weed lead to hard drug use?

I can also say for sure that it's not true that heavy potheads who enjoy all aspects of pot move on to hard drugs. Most of them probably stop using pot or use it much less often eventually, quite a few continue smoking, and a pretty small number become addicted to hard drugs and switch drug cultures.

I got easily addicted (habituated upon might be a better word, I'm reliant on weed anyway) to weed and I've used a lot of "hard" drugs, I've used many of them often for periods, and I've never been addicted to anything but weed.

I continued even when it gave me anxiety... half of the time, I only stopped (in the session) when I felt like I was starting to go off the edge with voices/sirens, and the anxiety was always bad by that time. Maybe a year ago I began using 5-HTP and I was usually on it while smoking weed. it makes the high way more intense within a week... but I feel like I'm wearing down my cannabinoid and serotonin receptors more quickly, I've noticed the crash is worse, even scary and it lasts so long. weed might not be so bad if I just let my tolerance rise like it should... sometimes I do and I'm so happy that it's just 20-30 minutes of mild relaxation.
I'm kinda fogged up from seroquel, apologies for rambling

I cannot stand pot.

I can't stand the smell, the high, the taste or the lazy ridiculousness involved with it. I started smoking weed before any other drug when i was 15, and cannot stand it. Never could. Usually ill smoke a bowl with friends maybe once every 6 months. Then i lose track of time being retarded, don't know why the fuck i did it to begin with, eat an ass ton of food for no reason, and lose things like my cell phone and sense of direction, then somehow manage to stumble home in a foggy daze, yearning for soberness.

^ ha damn dude tell us how u really feel. I love the munchies instead of eating a little of something delicious you can eat ALOT of all kinds of delicous substances and how can you not like the smell! I thought people who dont even like weed enjoy the smell thats the best part getting some straight stinky goodness and smelling it and being like woahhh.
