I just renewed my medical marijuana card and the doc suggested a salve for arthritic joint pain. She had recommended that last year and I bought some and found it to be useless and decided it was just someone's idea of how to make an extra buck at the clinics. This time she swore that it is the only thing that takes her migraines away and that she has lots of anecdotal evidence from other patients that it works really well for joint pain. She suggested I give it another try using it almost constantly throughout the day. I don't really want to spend the money because I still think it is bullshit but I don't want to have a closed mind about it either. Does anyone have experience with salves working for arthritic joint pain (i.e. severe inflammation)?

ive had friends that swear by it. you might want to try making your own (it will probably be cheaper) bu soaking buds in olive oil for several weeks (2-3 months if you can). if you know a grower, try to get trim, as this is usually discarded...it will work just fine for extraction purposes

I was very skeptical at first but the more you read about it the more you find that there really is something to it and it does work for a lot of people. There are some great recipes you can use to make your own though.

Might want to look into dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), it's often used to help drugs permeate the skin.
