Hi there
Are there any cases of marijuana only smokers getting lung cancer / enphyema.
Im asking this because i have yet to find a case of a marijuana smoker with cancer and i have searched
endlessly on webs , has anyone been more successful ?
Im not talking about studies on animals that prove of refute that marijuana causes cancer
i want to know if anyone has been afected.

I am sure there are cases of people who smoke pot, do not smoke cigarettes and have gotten lung cancer. But you have to consider that there are people who never smoke a thing in their life and get lung cancer.

What matters is that there has never been and studies that link smoking cannabis to lung cancer.

I've been told that you're more likely to get respiratory issues, mouth, or even throat cancer from smoking herb than you are lung cancer. I was told this by oncologists and doctors. No I don't have cancer and never have but I have friends and relatives who have and they told me what their oncologists said about smoking herb, and I've asked regular medical doctors about smoking herb when I've seen them as a patient. However it's like Neko wrote there are people who don't smoke anything at all ever and they get lung cancer. Inhaling any smoke is not good for you.

If you're worried about your lungs or respiratory system I'd look into getting a vaporizer, or just smoke the best quality herb infrequently so you have to smoke less of it and your tolerance is low so you get super high. I have friends who were daily herb smokers in the 70s and they said how back then the herb wasn't as potent as it is today and that with today's fine quality herb one or two hits gets you very stoned and how back then with the herb they were smoking from Colombia you'd have to smoke a few joints, bowls, or bong hits in order to get that effect from it.

You should download a documentary called the union.
It may be a little biased towards stoners, but they cover a lot of this topic.

People who just smoke weed can still get it I'm sure .

If u smoke clean though I would like to see if those people do .
I mean people who always use clean smoking appuratus . Not people who smoke only weed but smoke it out of buthole dirty bongs or pipes or something ya knw

a butthole dirty bong is still cleaner than a joint id imagine in terms of health

Not so true, there are any number of natural hemp papers, and the amount of paper is pretty minimal. Also hit from joints tend to be more slowly drawn into your lungs, and doesnt overwhelm them like hits from a bong will. I rarely wake up the morning after haveing a joint or two with a sore throat or lungs, but there have been plenty of times i have after a night of bong hits.

Id like to see some research on that.
Otherwise, nobody can really tell which method is cleaner.
They both have filtration systems which both get absolutely drenched in resin. Yuck.
I always thought bongs would filter out the smoke better than a joint, but neko also makes a good point.

From what I gather it's hard to form a proper control involving people who have only smoked pot. Most cannabis smokers have smoked a cigarette at least once in their lifetimes, and that already disqualifies them from the purity test. The studies I've read do lean toward pot does not cause cancer, but it does still increase the chance of COPD and other non-cancerous lung conditions.

I read something a while back - can't find the link, sorry - that suggested the cannabinoids in pot (like THC) function as anti-oxidants so they are undoing some of the oxidative damage done by the tar, as well as actually aiding some immune functions in the lungs. Cigarette smokers tend to catch colds more easily and they are more intense; but for me, I notice that I almost never catch a cold, unless I stop smoking pot.

So wouldn't it be very, very difficult to find someone who-if we're to believe anti-smoking campaigns and what they say about 2nd hand smoke is true-that's never been around anyone smoking tobacco and has never smoked a single cigarette, pipe, or cigar? Then again as a friend of mine who used to smoke herb daily and who still smokes pipes, cigars, and is a light cigarette smoker has told me that anti-smoking activists want to claim that anyone who has ever smoked anything, been around someone smoking, and even ex-smokers who have quit will wind up getting cancer from smoking and dying from it.

If we consider the formation of cancer only to make this easy: tar in itself hasn't got the ability to produce cancer. Radioactivity is something that can produce cancer (go to the future, 20 years from now, go ask some place in Japan, you'll see). We all actually know this.

All tobacco (this is not true, read: a lot) is grown on specific soils containing a lot of phosphates (which is not weird, it's good for the plant). Problem is, phosphate is Radium-rich (I think it was radium 226, w/e). These split into polonium 210 / lead 210 (you can look this up, I did. Polonium really is the big deal here, it is indeed radioactive. Obviously all of this is in small amounts, but it's still there, yes you can say you smoke nuclear energy, that is indeed rather cool.

You can look this up yourself, I'm having a hard time concentrating, my eyes are shaking, have to reread every sentence 3 times.
