^This. It's a cool religion and all in regards to bud and spirituality...until you need major surgery or transfusion.
So is anyone going to read the article, or are we all just going to hold uncritically to our predictions?
That is not what the documentary I saw most recently said. The newest one. Can't think of the name right now
It said that he trusted a doctor who told him that he didn't need to remove his toe, and that decision was the wrong one.
Nothing about Rastafarianism being the principles underlying his choice not to remove the toe.
It was called "Marley". This was also produced by his family so I'd think it would be acurate.
Again, I don't care if people smoke pot, but I do care if they're being misinformed before they make the decision to do it.
I understand that, but there's people in this thread asserting that marijuana smoke is more cancerous than tobacco smoke, but not citing any evidence and in fact ignoring all evidence to the contrary.
atricles like this make people believe that smoking isn't hazardous to your health.
Marijuana does, however, "cause visible and microscopic injury to the large airways that is consistently associated with an increased likelihood of symptoms of chronic bronchitis that subside after cessation of use," according to Tashkin.
It even said in the article that lung cancer has been linked to heavy Marijuana use.
"although evidence is mixed concerning possible carcinogenic risks of heavy, long-term use," Tashkin said

Tobacco smoke is more dangerous (carcinogenic) than cannabis smoke because tobacco smoke contains nitrosamines.
Might as well make sure you're not misinformed when trying to tell people they're misinformed.
Cannabis smoke is not carcinogenic at all, because it's not radioactive unlike tobacco smoke, which is actually filled with some very radioactive substances.
I have never seen even ONE photo of a pot smoker's black lungs which was filled with tar, while i have seen countless photos of a tobacco smoker's blackened lungs, which was filled with tar.
Tobacco smoking kills over 400,000 people per year. There's no government statistics about the amounts of cancer-related deaths that are caused by the smoking of cannabis.
Well, show me one at least picture of a pot smoker with blackened and tar filled lungs. You see, you cannot do that at all.
Well, show me one at least picture of a pot smoker with blackened and tar filled lungs. You see, you cannot do that at all.
It could be of the fact that all lung cancer cases are immediately blamed on tobacco...
All potheads want proof, but in actual reality like I just said, weed just isn’t studied as hard because of it’s status. Just because you can’t see it now, doesn’t mean you aren’t fucking yourself with aids stick and no condom...
I’m saying it just isn't as safe as you think it is...
The thing people are failing to realize is that tobacco was in this same fucking position except for illegality.
Everybody thought that it was harmless... Then more and more people started wheezing and coughing... Then more and more people had growths in their mouths, lung and throats... Then more and more people started dying...
Then came the studies... CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! CANCER! Then came the age limitation. Then came the barring TV advertisements.. ETC...
Smoke PERIOD is cancerous. POINT BLANK No ifs ands or buts about it.
Whether it is the grass in your front yard, or a piece of dried algae... If you smoke enough and you are predisposed to it, there is great changes of cancer.
Well, just because something is illegal, this doesn't mean that it's also not studied and that we also don't know about something's harmful effects. Here's some examples of this. Just because heroin and crystal meth and crack and cocaine are illegal, this doesn't stop us from having knowledge of the harmful effects of those specific substances.
How many persons has ever died just from smoking weed alone? Hmm, there's no statistics about this lately. I can't find any statistics about the amount of deaths that are a result of smoking weed.
Might as well make sure you're not misinformed when trying to tell people they're misinformed.
My information is based entirely of my understanding of the body, the central nervous system, and the effects that psychotropic drugs have on them.
Smoke is cancerous. We learned that nearly 100 years ago. I would think that would be common knowledge by now.
The assumption I made about Marijuana smoke being worse for your health was entirely based on facts. I took into consideration how Marijuana burns, how much carbon it produces, and its effects on the body.
Does it mean it actually is worse for your health than Tobbaco? Not nessicarily - but it could go either way and to me it seems more likely Marijuana smoke would be worse for you.
You might want to make sure YOU’RE not misinformed before you call someone out on something you may not have as much knowledge about.
