Location – Lounge room

This report details an experience I had after consuming marijuana following the consumption of methamphetamine. While the experience outlined in this report includes reference to the consumption of both drugs, I have chosen to focus on the effects resulting from the consumption of marijuana as opposed to the direct effects resulting from the consumption of methamphetamine. While consuming the methamphetamine was enjoyable I do not believe it is of sufficient interest to be the basis for this Trip Report. However I would highlight that had I not consumed methamphetamine I believe I would not have undergone the same experience had I consumed marijuana alone. I believe both the combination of the comedown and the sleep deprivation resulting from taking methamphetamine was a contributing factor to the experience detailed in this report.)

* Background *

The background to this experience was that I had consumed approximately two points (0.2 grams) of methamphetamine on late Sunday evening/early Monday morning. While ordinarily I would be able to sleep relatively easily about 24 hours after consuming methamphetamine, on this occasion I was unable to sleep for an extended period of time; this was concerning as it was over 24 hours since I taken my last dose and I had only slept for fifteen minutes having tried in vain on Monday day and earlier in the evening. I decided to smoke several small cones of marijuana using a water pipe in an effort to either fall sleep immediately, or relax until the effect of the methamphetamine declined so I could then fall asleep.

* Experience *

After smoking two very small cones (each cone containing a quantity of marijuana about the size of 2 grains of rice) I decided to pause before smoking the third; I was conscious that I did not want to become too intoxicated and make myself ill by smoking too much at once. (I have a very low tolerance to marijuana particularly when it is smoked in a pipe, compared to eating an extract.)

After a couple of minutes I glanced at the kitchen bench and experienced something for the first time – I was hallucinating on marijuana. I had never experienced either closed or open eyed visuals before after consuming marijuana even when I had been strongly intoxicated. But in this instance I had clear open eyes visuals. The ‘image quality’ of the visuals was very high – unlike the ‘image quality’ from LSD which I found to be generally low, particularly when examining an indoor environment. As this is a complex concept to explain I will provide another example. I find that the visuals that occur after consuming 2-CI can result in objects changing shape and colour; they often appear blurred around the edges and have a halo of coloured light surrounding them. In this experience there was no colour change and no halo was apparent – my vision was perfectly clear and did not have the distortion characteristic of visuals I have found to be caused by other hallucinogens.

As I looked at the kitchen bench, individual objects sitting on the bench began to move, swaying or tilting from side-to-side. The bench was concurrently beginning to form a gentle and fluid wave pattern similar to small ripples on the surface of a pond. I did not feel similarly affected when looking at other objects around either the lounge room or my bedroom. The wide spacing of the objects on the bench, and the varying shapes, materials and colours of the objects in the kitchen, when contrasted by the solid black marble bench on which they were sitting, provided the clearest showcase of the visual effects I was experiencing. I also experienced multiple auditory hallucinations including hearing voices talking and music which appeared to be at times nearby and at others distant. These voices did not transmit a clear message; they were simply ‘background chatter’ and did not have either positive or negative connotations. The music had a slow tempo and tone and was a tranquil contribution to the experience.

Since writing this report several months ago I have reflected on this incident several times and found that it was in hindsight a welcome addition to the range of hallucinatory episodes I have experienced. The clarity of the visuals, the inoffensive and at times calming nature of the auditory hallucinations and the lack of paranoia or other negative feelings emerging from the event have left me with a sense of joy about an experience that was a complete, but welcome, surprise.

You never did try looking at the low whispering drooping shirts in the bathroom with the melodic murmer of the water after snorting too much K (or certainly never listened to me explaining).

Nice report though if you insist on putting forth the effor of spelling out the term Marijuana in it's correct grammatical consistency, you should have continued that effort in spelling out Methamphetamine instead of the street euphemism for the drug, Ice.

I'm just being picky. never mind me.

Not to critisize...but im a n00bie to this forum...and it is 100% completely impossible to hallucinate on marijuana...and its definately not possible on such a small amount 8) ...i dont wanna sound like a dick or nething...but thats my 2¢

Dear AddiEAddict712,

While I appreciate you taking the time to read my Experience Report, your statement “it is 100% completely impossible to hallucinate on marijuana” is incorrect.

I have a very low tolerance to marijuana and require only a small amount to become strongly intoxicated (as mentioned in my Report). Furthermore, a quick search of academic journals demonstrates that it has been shown that individuals can hallucinate after consuming marijuana (see below).

I encourage you to contribute feedback and personal insights regarding the psychopharmacological experiences of others. However I would recommend in future that you refrain from outright denying the experience of others when the basis for your criticism is factually incorrect.

C.

“A questionnaire study of 42 randomly selected young men who used marijuana revealed that about 90 percent had experienced minor changes in perception (seeing colors or objects as more intense); about half had experienced major perceptual changes (hallucinating colors or designs); and about 40 percent had experienced hallucinogenic ideation. The authors conclude that marijuana, as used by the population studied, is a hallucinogen. They caution, however, that this is not evidence that the drug is either harmful or harmless.”

I hallucinated off of my first bong hit. I'll never forget it. My vision sort of turned into a kladascope, 'spider-vision' kind of thing. The effect lasted about 20 seconds or so. I was rreeeeeeaaaaallllyyy fucking high that night. Never got anywhere near as high as I was that night, with mj.

i took a three year break from all substances, and after a cactus experience as my 're-entry' i acquired some of an old favorite - pot.

looked to be mid-grade, standard pot. i cleaned a small amount, loaded it and smoked it.

shortly after smoking the bowl i was VERY VERY high. and i've had a lot of experience w/ good old pot. but, i seriously thought it was laced (what my friends and i used to refer to as "Raid pot" (as in, the dealer took some lawn clippings and sprayed it w/Raid to give it some kick).

i was more than high (i thought at the time), i had a strong "body load", lots of waves, colors were enhanced greatly. it was easily a +++ for an hour or so.

but, it was just standard decent pot, after smoking it a few times it didn't have the same impact. pot can be very fucking strong

i can get visuals off of one hit

off a couple or several hits, half of me is spinning and flying forward through a tunnel while the other half is accelerating downward at speeds so high i feel like i am breaking up and dying. the visuals are completely interwoven with my thoughts and dancing patterns weave into 3d images and sounds etc

I've never in my life gotten visuals off of weed, but who knows. I guess it depends on who you are. For me, it's strictly associated with my sense of touch, hearing, and taste; not sight.

An excellent report, btw.

I've had visuals off weed before. I used to get colourful blobs floating through the air after a couple of buckets and a very strongly pixelated vision which used to sometimes turn into slight typical psychedelic visuals. I've seen my walls breathe slightly and had high definition closed eye visuals of myself flying over mountains and dancing at a party in a tropical paradise.

Once after an absolute stictcher bucket I hallucinated seeing (open eyes) a small girl playing with a dog on my wall. It was very surreal and cartoon like, made up of mainly red and yellow colours if I remember rightly. It went on for a good 20 seconds or so. Weed is such an unpredictable drug, sometimes things just happen when you least expect it.

Marijuana mixed with meth can be extremely trippy.
Meth is incredibly bad for you though. It's not only addictive
but will rot and discolor your teeth. :p
