Aces always and if you're in a decent Casino they will let you split a total of four times if Aces keep peeling, however it's hard to find a place that will let you hit any single Ace w/more than one card.

Splitting and doubling down is what it's all about, to counter the Dealer's massive advantage getting to act last
Book says surrender Eights against dealer aces ( and tens?) since you're at a slight disadvantage. And I think it's maybe just a hit when a Dealer is showing a 9.

Gambling is what caused me to relapse. Meth is everywhere once you get dialed into the local gamblers and vultures. Literally every third person has it. I once made a friendly bet with a guy who was sitting next to me at another machine (keno-- it had been a losing night). It turned out the girl on the other side of him her boyfriend smoked meth and she hooked us up and within 10 minutes we were sitting in his truck smoking. So it was actually 2-1 would have been a good wager)

I can't tell you all the times I smoked in Casino bathrooms (high limit rooms have locking stalls usually).

It's not just that casinos are aware of it, they actively turn a blind eye since lit gamblers will lose all their money-- I always did. Since at that point gambling is no longer about booking a win but the RUSH (& the illusion of managing risk...)

Gambling is by far one of the most powerful drugs because it's a powerful reinforcing behavior loop.

And to get back to the topic at hand, I'm grateful to say that I haven't used meth in months thanks largely to Cannabis, although I have gambled a few times (it's much easier to kick meth than gambling)

Hell yeah man. I'm all about the gaming industry.

I typically see places that have bad bets on insurance, so when an ace shows up on the dealer I just pass and then split if it's still an option. Everyone has their own style but you are right about the stats. Congrats on quitting meth. You sound good.

lolz. Once I was in a small college town in the midwest US at a comedy club. Like 20 years ago, before any legal weed. I was wearing an orange shirt and therefore kind of stood out in the crowd apparently. The stand up comic asked who in the crowd liked smoking herb. I hollered in affirmation. He then pointed at me and said, "Any cops in the audience, this guy in the orange shirt 8 rows up is a pothead." Was funny and pissed me off at the same time :ROFLMAO::mad:
