I'm writing a ten page paper
I have so far as my main points the economics of legalization
I also have a description on how cannibinoid receptors being activated can be beneficial for health
and I have the fact that at the current moment it is a huge source of drug violence, as well as the fact that alot of people are buying weed from a guy who has other more addictive chemicals available as well.
Help me get an A please throw out other good points
 
no offence OP but if you're gonna get an A on this you first need to learn some more about cannabis.
the medicinal benefits are not from "cannabinoid receptors being 'activated' ".
they come from the many various cannabinoids and terpenoids themselves.

google.com is a good starting point.
 
OP, we can only tell you so much, because for a research paper you really need to cite all the sources you use, and BL doesn't exactly count as a peer reviewed journal or anything like that. Plus, getting an A is all you --- we aren't going to write it for you, learning how to write a good research paper is an important skill to acquire.
 
^ thanks Damien, I didn't even think of searching for another thread on here for the OP...comments like highhooked made make me nervous about stuff like this, I think I'm just a very recent college-grad and insist everyone should learn how to do this on their own...my later undergrad and Masters program both seemed to heavily focus on this "learn to write a research paper" thing.

I'm all for people sharing (document) sources or posting articles but "tell me some other good points" is a little pushing it on the help at some point I think.

For sure. I'm just bored at work lol.

I agree, people should be doing their own homework. I hate writing papers but this is the one paper I would have trouble writing with a page restriction rather than requirement.
 
Thats a hard topic to write a paper on..... I did one once and it was pretty good but you have to look at it from a teacher/professors stand point. Some of these old schoolers may not get the point or agree with it. The Union is a really good documentary and so is Super High ME. They may have some material for your topic and arguments
 
you could start with the fact that the hemp plant can be used for everything from clothing and medication to oil and concrete. we could be living in weed houses, driving cars powered by weed, wearing weed clothing, and breathing substantially cleaner air if we we still used hemp paper instead of raping billions of acres of forests.

maybe you should write an expose about how keeping it illegal has turned our country into a shit hole?

When I reread this thread I realized I sorta came off as having a giant stick up my ass, which I apologize for. Discussing points is fine...but if the paper is for school, and it's a research paper, the OP is going to need sources he can cite, so I just thought it would be more helpful if that's the kind of stuff we gave him. I guess giving him an idea works too, so he can look around for more information about it.


And, I saw SuperHighMe a while ago...I think Benson is terribly NOT funny, and I was disappointed with it. The streaming part of Netflix is LOADED with more potumentaries than I thought existed, so for more casual knowledge that's probably not the worst idea to start looking.
