Good idea? My mom bought her boyfriend who has MS a vaperizor in attempt to help him since he doesnt take the shots or meds the doctors give him. Anyone know of cases where weed helped with MS? Thank you

Knew a guy who had MS who said weed really helped it, but the only problem was that he didn't want to be high all the time.
So yeah, it works but not everyone wants to be high 24/7

Yes. Its been shown to help in 2 ways.....it suppresses auto-immune reactions by decreasing inflammation and suppressing the immune system, and its also anti-spasmodic.

Turmeric, Vitamin D, B-vitamins are all essential for people with MS. Turmeric stopped an MS like disease in mice.

You really dont want to let MS progress though. Its serious and the damage eventually becomes irreversible, even if it doesnt start off that way.

I would suggest taking one of the drugs. If he cant handle interferons, there is still Copaxone, and Tysabri is the strongest medication and the most effective....it kills about 1 in 1000 users (the drug), but many think its worth it if you can slow down the disease by 75%. I guess it depends on how aggressive your MS is.

Ganja it's Multiple Sclerosis.

Tell your BF to take his meds!

I have friends that have MS and they do A LOT better with their meds than without them and smoking or vaporizing herb is not a substitute for MS meds.

Marijuana does help, not just with symptoms but with immune supression. Multiple sclerosis is no joke. Also, once the damage is done it can never be undone. If you can't handle interferons, try tysabri.

Anti-inflammatory drugs/herbs/foods should definitely help.
Ginger, turmeric, hemp oil, salmon are all anti-inflammatory.
Cannabis should help. There appears to be a growing body of evidence that it does help with MS.
But taking the meds given by an MD makes sense as well.

I've a friend with a Cannabis prescription to treat his MS.

Of course, it is used in tandem with his other medications.

one of my best friends has MS and uses cannabis. she says it definitely helps and even with the neurological pain.
