I've seen lots of web sites and advertisements in magazines like High Times for "100% Legal" Alternatives to Marijuana. Now, what I want to know is, hhave any of you tried these? What are they like? Any good?

the only good they are for is to repackage into smaller baggies and to sell at your local high school...with incredible markups :D
i should be studying buisness me thinks

eh...ripping off high schoolers is like shooting fish in a bucket ;)

If you really wanna rip off high-schoolers sell 'em baby powder (cocaine/heroin), aspirin tablets w/ the "aspirin" scraped off (ecstasy), then use the scam money to buy ACTUAL DECENT MARIJUANA AND BONG OR SOMETHING YOU NARK!

any legal alternatives really sucks. anyone who has taken the illegeal and real version wont notice anything from the very weak legal alternative. there are many herbal legal highs out there you will find. trust me dont waste your money on any of them.

I figured for the most part they aren't any good, but you never know.. and it's better to ask than to waste money... but then again, there might be something to it. For example, on the legal side, I've smoked Salvia a few times, and have enjoyed it greatly each time.

there are no weed alternatives, and i wouldnt pay good money to try the stuff in high times.... however there are some interesting herbal things to use out there that aren't marked the shit up like they are in High times. Try smoking a ciggie of damiana or scullcap or both, passionflower is cool too, lobelia as well..... all pretty mild... salvia is to them what a nuclear explosion is to a sparkler. Salvia isn't all that recreational. Yohimbe is pretty interesting too. I think the legal weed alternatives are wild dagga, a plant i haven't tried yet... again, all these herbs have their own signatures, and none are "weed alternatives" in that none feel like weed does. If you want something opiate-like, try blue lotus or wild lettuce(not any lettuce, but actual wild lettuce that contains the right chemicals-check the scientific name)

I had a friend that said they would buy legal weed as filler for blunts...probably a good idea if youre trying to save. As for smoking it by itself, it sucks and I dont recommend wasting money.
