March Madness is among us

^ Christian Laettner was a hack, a peice of shit, and his name and records and points, and the teams he's played for should be STRICKEN from basketball lore, legend, and stat books. To even say that mans name should bring about a terrible pain the abdomen, and possibly death. He wasn't even that good, Micheal Jackson could ball better than that wanna be.

Oh how I hate you Christian Laettner... *shakes fist in anger*

Purdue had an early exit because their star got injured at the end of the season. was obvious.

Minnesota sucks, and got dismantled by OSU in the Conference Tourney, but they got some respect points for even making it there - I assume.

how about University of Northern Iowa! I expect them to win against Michigan State, only because their star point guard is out of the game. it would be great to see Ohio State VS UNI - after what I could have sworn would be Kansas or Georgetown.

As a born and bred Kentuckian, I can only concur. ;)

The pain of that shot from 1992 still hurts. :(

As a Wright State fan, I saw Butler play live three times this year in the Horizon League, and that shooting they do isn't a fluke. They have been shooting lights out all year.

I'd compare them to a crappy team you might use on a video game. When you practice the video game enough, you can take N.J.I.T and beat Duke.
Butler has decent talent, but they are very well coached and simply don't screw up. They rarely turn it over, they practice jumpm shots like there's no tomorrow, and don't ever get flustered when they lose a lead.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised at all if they beat Kstate, beat either N.Iowa, OSU, or Tenn, and when it all in the N.C

Keep in mind too that if they beat KState, they will play the final four in their hometown of Indianapolis. Talk about home court advantage.

And as a Buckeye fan, if OSu gets past Tennessee (which should be a classic game, could go either way) I'd actually be more worried about playing Butler than K-State.

Yo Im new here, but I gotta say this. UK is my overall pick. All my others pretty muck upset... But UK has depth. Youve got Wall, Blesoe, Cousins, Patterson, Miller, Orton, Harris, Liggins, & Stevenson who are all effective play makers. They've got more depth than any other team. You've got at least 9 guys that can make plays/shots on any given night. Miller has been stepping up. They're still young but I think UK can handle this.

what a bunch of BS

i have been stuck watching the shithole Baylor v SM game

OSU V Tenn was atleast a good game, but noooooo

we only get to watch a few bits n pieces of that game, stuck watching this blow out cuz of regional biases i guess

oh well, OSU just lost anyways

Horrible calls and simply bad shooting killed UK in this one. That and WV was hitting extreme from beyond the arc.

Oh well, can't win'em all, sometimes, even when you're supposed too.

And with that, I might find myself agreeing with Lovelife.

Baylor now looks like the best team left in the field, other than an up/down TN team. If anyone wins it I hope they do?

the tournament is for the taking of West Virginia. very well coached by Bob Huggins, with their great team D at the forefront.

OSU lost to Tennessee, and while I think there are two coaches out there who deserve a National Championship the most (Thad Matta and John Calipari) it looks like it won't be either of their years. Thad seems to get the talent, with every other year being a number one ranked team, it's just that he can't coach fundamentals that well.

Michigan State is Michigan State and they're back in the Final Four. and I even thought that this would be a down season for them.

Baylor is NOT winning the title!

Mark THIS post!

LOL you're crazy man.

who would have guessed duke would be the only 1 seed in the final four?

not me, they looked like the weakest Number One seed for sure. the only thing they had in their advantage was the easiest bracket in the NCAA.

March Madness is the only time of the year when I think college basketball can triumph over the flash and band of the pros. the only time when I can stomach teams actually playing *gasp* defense and team offense. good for you, college hoops.
