I'm better now that I blocked all the fucking toxic twitter accounts and YouTube channels.

UK fans are some of the dumbest on Earth. They literally don't understand shit about college basketball or what makes a good coach or what doesn't. They blame Cal for everything and have been wanting him fired for oh...at least 7 or 8 years now?

Like I totally agree that our performance lately in tournaments is not acceptable and not up to UK standards. We need to try something different. These fucking idiots don't realize though that giving some other team Coach Cal would only make all of our problems 1000 times worse. Our recruiting prospects plummet overnight, our NIL future, etc. And it would only be a matter of time before the same exact haters would be bitching about that.

The reason we lost yesterday is very simple and obvious: their best shooter went nuclear on us and our best shooter had his worst performance ever. I'm not hating on Reed for it, but facts are facts. He saved our ass several times through the season. It is what it is. Cal actually did a great job I think having them prepared for Oakland's zone. All of dude's threes were contested. Like I said he just fucking popped off. Couldn't miss.

Cal can't make our shots go in. He had them in the right mindset. We fought the whole time. Fact is we always get everyone's best shot. We are everybody's Super Bowl. And with the transfer portal shit there is so much parity these days. Ask Purdue, Duke, Arizona, etc etc. We aren't the only ones suffering.

We made it to the second round last year. The year before that was when we lost to the peacocks in the first round.

then the year before that, we didn't make the tournament at all.
then the year before that was when they cancelled it. That's the year we had Tyrese Maxey. Ironically one of the most "tournament ready" guards we've ever had.

what are ya gonna do? String of bad luck. It happens. These fucking know it alls want to give away Cal to somebody else though. Like that would help. :rofl:

I missed filling out my bracket earlier this week, went today and either it wouldn't let me or I was too stupid to figure it out. Doesn't matter, nearly all my picks have already exited. SEC going one-fer (TN breaking the trend) has really wrecked me.

And, I'm sitting here significantly bummed UF lost to CO. I have nothing against CO. They played their best, probably their best all year, and took what the refs and our defense gave them. Which, by the box score, was 63% shooting, 60% from 3, and 85% on FT. Hard to beat ANY team hitting at that level. Now, I know gator fans spent a good bit of this season pointing to our defense and how every team seemed to have their best night of 3pt shooting whenever they played us, but this was a complete game by CO.

For UF, we couldn't overcome several bad calls by the refs (I won't list them, because every loser says the refs screwed them...I'll leave it for unbiased persons to point it out). In my book, bad calls happen - play well enough they don't matter. We didn't. Furthermore, we simply didn't play well enough. The end.

So, I'm sad - not angry - because our boys deserved better. But they out performed everyone's expectations, so I look ahead to next year. For the rest of this year's basketball games, I may peek once in awhile at a decent game, for a few minutes, but overall IDGAF anymore. Kudos to all the underdog upsets. Other than that, sports are dead to me. Staring at UF football to get me through the fall is like a man on death row knowing he has a ride awaiting him in old sparky....no point in anything else anymore, it's all shit.
