Sup dawg I heard you like inhibiting the metabolism of your hydrocodone so we put some St Johns Wort in your vicodin so you can get high for longer.

It will inhibit the enzymes that break down the hydro, getting you higher for longer. :D Enjoy!
 
^^^ What? are you bein serious or mocking me? sorry the 'sup dawg' leads me to believe im getting sarcasm, sorry if i am jumping to conclusions tho, if u are bein legit then thank you for your feedback, is this something you have done before?

i wasnt necessarily trying to potentiate, i have just recently tried using St. Johns for depression and i got some free dons n wanted to get muh buzz on. i ended up takin em before i got any replies, all was well, it wasnt unsafe but i also didnt notice much potentiation

Yes I'm being serious.

I have a chart of CYP3A4 interacting substances, it lists St Johns Wort as an inhibitor of the enzymes that metabolize hydrocodone.

Sorry I like memes.

Just thought I would also say that there is some contradictory info on St Johns Wort's effect on liver enzymes, but nothing that you have to be concerned about, you are OK, I didn't post this just to put in another meme sneakily either.

like i said i ended up taking some codone at 4:45 or so, i took the wort at ~noon or so, everything was well after the 1st go round, so i took some more ~11:20

So ill get back to ya on it

IME, St. Johns Wort is not something to be taken lightly, so please be careful when using it in the interest of catching a buzz. Personally, I would just take Cimetidine or drink grapefruit juice rather than mess with St. Johns Wort, especially if it is only in the interest of catching a buzz.
