Howdy, I emigrated here in the last few months to start a new job and forgot to bring any mates over with me :)

Anyone about want to hook up and show me around some of the decent night spots? Especially if you know me already from the board, shout me a pm.

Cookies after work on a Friday is getting a bit bland at this stage :)

unfortunately my home away from home and (arguably....been dieing recently) melbournes best club just got shut down.....along with the last few years seeing the death of most all decent raves......


if you like waxing ur legs, gelling your hair, taking ice and fighting heaps then theres definitely some sweet places out there :-p

i knew that would raise some hairs, definitely not over the past 3 or 4 years but mannnn that placed used to rock harder than any joint could...

very special place in my heart.....i came to oz from the US at 18 1/2, and had my first ever legal drink at bubble.....thats right i thought bubble was what 'bars' are like. back in those days, man nothing was better.

definitely a big hole in my heart, just hoping some PLUR pops up somewhere this city's running on fumes when it comes to hugs and love.....
 
Did it get closed down bc of the stabbing? It's actually fairly close to my place but I have never been there, because, well, I have a modicum of taste ;)
 
It's closed for 'refurbishment' but it's no secret the recent murder out the front has something to do with it. After working there back in 2008 I can assure everyone that there are more deaths there that never even get publicised. It really is a dodgy place.

yea ppl saying it'll be open again in 4 weeks but i'll believe it when i see it.

totally right tho that place is the dodge of dodgy. another interesting note, i've NEVER EVER read anything in the papers about dealers or drugs or anything of the like.
and i personally know ppl who have gotten done with HEAPS there and nothing's ever surfaced....and whats with sniffer dogs going to 3d and not bubble? cuz that makes complete sense. grrr politics i'll never understand...

apparantly Kim Duthie was there and tweeted it minutes after it happened....lol st kilda schoolgirl at bubble!?!?! cant say i actually use twitter so i cant validate that at all, but funny nonetheless!! again sorry for derail but man this girl keeps getting herself in more trouble if thats actually true....

Bahahahahaha I thought I threw them back in the crate? Oh man, I was fucked after that night, all that K had me walking sideways back at home. :)

Also, I agree with Bud - Bubble has a special place in my heart too! I wouldn't go as far to say its the best club (not in recent years), but it sure rocked the hardest than any other!

Hopefully they reopen something really good there. Maybe back to the old Tatou days? :P
