I mean maybe im wrong but talking about how cannabis has been prosecuted, and the laws behind it have been is about marijuana no? I mean he didnt really word it well but still.
But laws and what the government can change how people feel and think. Like take for instance how Nixon changed drug enforcement to deal with mostly pot, they figured put all the money into demonizing maryjane and if people tend not to try pot then they won't do anything else. But people were already smoking weed. SO all they did was drive up the price off weed. Brining in cocaine to grow huge for the first time. people started getting kicks elsewhere, and then the money had to start being better spread around. Leaving us in the situation today, where doctors and public opinion on marijuana have finally started to move the majority to thinking it is harmless . Yeah we got screwed, I mean it wasn't A bad thought process they had, they just didn't factor in the fact that people at the time already did it and would just turn to other drugs when pot became harder to get, and a certain number of people would try it themselves and realize it isn't that bad
