Fuck You, thats why!
Anyone have a little kit or anything? It would be nice to enjoy myself once in a while and not spend the next day feeling like death. In my case my guts feel like ive eaten a pound of metal shavings and my knees swell up with gout (its genetic :( and gout is like an attack of arthuritis) but ibuprofen usually takes care of that.

As for a kit anyone have any ideas? maybe something that lifts mood and something else to help with my stomach.

all i can say is just drink a bit less..

I had a few ciders when i was on citalopram.. The effect was a bit like ketamine!
C-Hole lol

If i drink enough to even start to feel a buzz i feel just as bad the next morning as if i drank a 12 pack.I tried pacing myself so as not to catch any buzz and i can do it, but its not much fun.

A good exposure to cold water first thing in the morning can really work wonders for the hangover, so I have heard. A really nice drug for hangovers is Fiorinal or Fioricet, containing butalbital, caffeine, and aspirin or APAP respectively. There are preparations without caffeine, which I would assume would work just as well with a bit of coffee. There are also preparations WITH codeine, only 30 mg, though. Any of these preparations could help a hangover. Butalbital is a barbiturate, a CNS depressant, rather like alcohol. These preparations are often prescribed for headaches, specifically tension headaches and migraine headaches.

doesnt sound like something i could get my hands on, but it does sound like it could work.

Actually ive heard of it, just people call it florinal around here, not sure how much they go for though.

ok. before going to bed down a bottle of water(it helps to rehydrate you from drinking). have you tried buying those chaser pills from a drug store(think you have to be at least 18 to buy them)..if you're not 18, take some painkillers(perferably not aspirin--blood thinner). it has been proven that plain black coffee does help a little.
when you get up in the morning, drink another bottle of water. oh, and eat pizza or something with sauce(red things like that helps) before going to bed.

ive never seen those no-hangover pills anywheres around here.So far we've got ibuprofen,aspirin,b-12, fiorinal, and lots of water, sounds like a decent kit to me :)

^ except i wouldn't take ibuprofen as well as aspirin - both can irritate your stomach, which is the last thing you want when you are hungover and have already upset your stomach with alcohol - plus they both thin your blood so there is a risk of gastric bleeding..

yeah i wouldnt take both at once especially since there is an increased risk of internal bleeding taking just aspirin on an ssri, also i was reading and my doctor didnt even tell me this but effexor under 150mg is an ssri higher its an snri

Which SSRIs/SSNRI are you on?

IME they don't cause horrible hangovers but I've just drank large amounts of booze as well as using other drugs while on prozac, wellbutrin, and lexapro. I did try taking Wellbutrin for a few days but I didn't drink on it at all since you can have seizures from doing that. My ex was on an SSNRI and he'd drink on it but just pace himself and he'd get drunk but wouldn't get very drunk so he'd have a horrible hangover the next day.

Just do what others said: Drink less, or if you are like me and like to keep drinking and having fun while at a bar or party, drink water, gatorade/powerade, and maybe eat some food if you can.

I've never taken those anti-hangover pills that I used to see advertised on TV or OTC in stores they were called "Chaser" anyone know what's in them?

Im on effexor XR its known for these shitty hangovers. Also would it be better to take the ibuprofen before i goto sleep or when i wakeup the next day with sore knees?
