Man Selling Drugs Charged After Selling Undercover Officer Half-Eaten Sandwich

Burlington, NC-- A North Carolina man apparently trying to feather his nest by selling illegal drugs.. is in jail because his plan laid an egg.

The Times-News of Burlington reports a Graham man is accused of selling an undercover police officer a bag that he said contained an ounce of marijuana.

The bag actually contained a half-eaten chicken sandwich.

A warrant filed in the Alamance County Magistrate's Office says 23-year-old Dustin Rockwell Davis is charged with sell and delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance and sell and delivery of marijuana. Both are felonies.

Davis was jailed under a $5,000 bond. His attorney couldn't be identified Tuesday.

Police said Davis sold the half-eaten chicken sandwich to the Burlington undercover officer on January 30.

Wait? Selling something as a drug, which isnt a drug, is a felony? Thats odd considering illegal drugs are against federal law as it is.
 
It's the same here in sweden, if you sell sugar but claim it is cocaine, you will be busted as if it was cocaine if you sell to a narc.

Thankfully, fuck all scammers, die in a fire then rot in hell please.
 
I totally agree with what was said above me.

As much as I disagree with our current drug laws it's nice to see some piece of shit getting what he deserves. I work for my money and deserve what I pay for.
 
I think what they were alarmed about (which I am also) is that there is an EXTRA felony charge added instead of just the sale of the marijuana. Not only is this guy getting charged for the ounce of marijuana, but he is also being charged for counterfeit marijuana delivery! Strange if you ask me.

MushroomRyder25 - Maybe he knew it was a cop and was unaware of these laws. Maybe he just wanted to send a "go fuck yourself" type message to a pig trying to nab him.
 
How can somebody be charged with selling an ounce of marijuana, when they didn't sell an ounce of marijuana but simply lied about the contents? Not to mention...how the hell is someone gonna be charged with falsely selling an illegal drug? These are the most ridiculous fucking charges ever. I bet the police force and the local attorneys are just butt hurt cause he sold them a sandwich when they were clearly too stupid to tell the difference between that and a fucking ounce of buds!
 
Selling counterfeit illegal substances is just as illegal as selling the real deal. Not saying I agree with it but that's just how it is.

I get that, I can understand him being charged with falsely selling an illegal narcotic...but to be charged for selling a counterfeit, then to be charged for the real thing as well? A bit paradoxical don't ya think?
 
The counterfit charge seems quite logical to me. What if he had sold some of the NBOMes as lsd. Could have killed some one.
 
I dont understand. He got arrested and imprisoned despite it beign a sandwich?
