Hey, I'm new here, and I have a problem. My favorite is pain killers, but will take anything that i come across. However, I still have a great job, and own my own home. So, it could be a lot worse. But, on a normal day I take usually about 6 to 8 tab 10s. I have tried to wean myself off without success. Any advice other than methadone? Please????

There is ALOT of help, support and advice out there pal.

Dont panic, is my first bit of advice.

Head on down to The Dark Side section of the forum and you will find great support there.

There are alot of options, from Kratom (fantastic for opiate w/d's...absolutely amazing. I had next to no w/d's from poppy pods thanks to kratom - its a tree that grows in SE asia, you consume the leaves. It's legal. It's not an opiate, but an opioid - meaning it essentially acts on the same neurotransmitters as opiates, but isn't a derivative of the poppy) to Suboxone, to a tapering program or utilizing any other tools in the arsenal of withdrawal weapons.

You have come to a place where you can certainly find help. Enjoy and I hope it helps.

God Bless.

Find a Suboxone doctor in your area; do a google search for "find a Suboxone doctor" - or, you can find this link in the first post of the Suboxone Mega Thread (last link in my signature).

Welcome to Bluelight and I wish you the best with battling your opiate addiction.
