Now this is just a bit of speculation from a very amateur scientist but i think the Mallinckrodt 15mg ( and 30mg ) immediate release oxycodone tablet might be the perfect pill for IV opiate users like myself.
Besides the oxycodone it only has 3 ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose, which isnt soluble in water according to a few sites i checked, so theres no way itll end up in my shot right? i dont have micron filters right now, ill be filtering with a sterile cotton ball, but i would think since its not soluble in water, it has no way of getting in the shot.
Lactose Monohydrate, which from everything ive read on line, is just another word for milk sugar, which is THE cut for almost dope where i live in the Mid-Atlantic U.S. i mean when people think heroin cut they think milk sugar, lactose powder etc. cant be that bad then if its ok to cotton filter dope that has it in there, right?
Stearic acid, which is a fatty chain acid that is in all kinds of food we eat, like butter, i mean the list goes on just tons of food has this stuff in it. its just a fatty acid. our blood is already full of fatty acids, including stearic acid, so injecting what little of this passes thru a cotton cannot be too bad.
what ever the real effects of these 3 chemicalsm, from everything ive looked about inactive ingredients in may oxycodone pills, Mallinckrodts 15 and 30mg pills seem as close as your gonna get to getting pure oxy without making it yourself ( not likely ). i also noticed in conspicuous absence from the inactive ingedients list was much dread talc, so that must be a plus of these pills. like i said im not a scientist, this is pure speculation.
Any more knowledgable commentaries on this issue would be appreciate. I used to shoot these pills all the time, and i recently acquired thirty of them, and as ive grown up a bit, im more interested in harm reduction than i used to be. ive shot thousands of these little blue pills, and i found out a few days ago i shouldve never been heating them ( im an idiot ). ive been weening off my bupe the last week prepping to get a full high from them. ill probably shoot tommorow or the next day. ive dropped from 12-16mg of bupe a day to 2-4mg per day for the last week, and i plan on waiting about 30 hours after my last 2mg before attempting to IV the first tester 15mg. Thanks for all input. Speculation if backed by reason is welcome but facts are preffered, thanks.
