making worm wood extract

so i have recently purchased some wormwood from an internet source. after doing some reading online i decided i wanted to try to make an extract out of it. in all the reports ive read for this it refers to using reagent grade ethanol for it. however i do not have any of this and i was wondering whether water or isopropyl alcohol would work, preferbly water as i dont have any of the alcohol laying around.

Thujone isn't water soluble, and isopropanol is not exactly the nicest thing to drink. Go get some high proof ethanol and make absinthe

sry i didnt mention that it would be smoked not eaten and i was wondering if a smiliar methed to making iso hash would work to extract the thujone. and no they dont sell everclear around me.

you beat me too it, i got some briliant absinthe containing thujone in austria last year, rocked my socks off
