Hey guys I've had a lot of,problems sleeping past few months but I'm working together with my doc to make so I can he most out of these because I feel a tolerance building up but maybe if I take some things away or do something then I won't have that problem. In particluar
- no laptop to bed
- read only light off candle on
- no heavy meals before bed (which is hard if you eat like me)
- I have been taking zopiclone sublinguially
-change to another class possibly ambien or stillnox

I've heard of liver enzyme disables like Tagamet and white grape juice but don't think they'll help me give circumstances of the administration of zopiclone

Theres no Ambien where i live but i was on stillnox for quite a while, and unless its combined with another pill like Xanax f.e,Stillnox alone imo has relatively low potency and is very shortlasting,to the point that if you dont fall asleep within half an hour, you need to pop another one right away.I wouldnt bother with it,
id rather take some kind of muscle relaxer or something that has some additional anti-anxiety value.

Everybody relaxes in a different way,id say watching a fun sitcom youve seen a thousand times already and smoking some cigs right after taking the pill
is a good way to go(make sure you put out the cig before you fall asleep tho)!!!

Does using enzyme inhibitors like c450 (tagamet or grapefruit juice) work if you're taking zopiclone or xanax

Have you tried another class used off label for insomnia, like some of the atypical antipsychotics (Seroquel, etc) or the stronger muscle relaxers like Zanaflex? I use muscle relaxers for sleep, interchanged with diphenhydramine, because zolpidem just doesn't work for me. It might be worth a discussion with your doctor to try something a little less typical for sleep, as everyone has different reactions to drugs. Have you tried diphenhydramine (Benadryl) for sleep? It's the main ingredient in pretty much all your OTC sleep aids and if you can switch off a few nights a week it will help with the tolerance build. Also tryptophan (like in turkey or warm milk) might be of aid, Valerian root or melatonin which you can get OTC in the U.S.?

I've travelled from light hypnotics of chamomile and everything (literally) up to zopiclone

Are you guys sure 100% c450 inhibitors if I take my Xanax and zopiclone sublingually

Side note, Ambien (US) aka zolpidem is Stillnox (europe)aka also zolpidem.... Zopiclone being "Immovane" brand name in europe i believe...

Do you have any idea, of the root causes of your insomnia? when did it start? was there a trigger? are you anxious? scared to not be able to sleep? etc. depending on that, discuss with your doctor your options... without more precise info on your particular case i'm not going to list all the anxios, hypnotics, relaxers, eventual neuroleptics, and possible helpfull combinations, there are waaaay too many.

I think I may have posted this before in another thread or site but as far as OTC meds diphehydramine works good for 2-3 days then you have to lay off them for a couple of days or it quits working, alcohol is a good sleep aid too IME.

As for prescription meds, try carisopodol(brand name=Soma in US).5 or 6 350mg tabs put you out like a light but make sure you don't have to do anything requiring coordination because that dose has you stumbling like a drunk. It even feels kinda like drunk but different. If you are lucky enough to get a real barbiturate like seconal,nembutal,tuinal,amital,etc....those work great for sleep but good luck finding any.Be careful with alcohol on those.Do it an hour or so before bed and don't go in public, make sure the kids are asleep(if you have any)etc....Certain benzos make some people tired and sleepy.Valium can in high enough doses, especially if mixed with a few gabapentin IME.Temazapam (brand name Restoril)is supposed to be another good sleep benzo in doses of 30mg+.Those are my best suggestions.
