making ketamine brownies?

Not sure that it would work (cos of the heat involved - don't think ket likes too much heat) or be worthwhile even if it did. Would taste foul too. Oral doses of ketamine are around 200-500mg which would make for a rather yucky tasting brownie. Plus the effects of oral ket are mostly sedating rather than psychedelic or dissociative from what I've seen. I'd just make weed brownies and IM the ket - much better all round :)

That would be possible, 'Cyde. Would still taste foul though. Don't really see the point - just the same as taking an oral dose. Or plug it for the oral ket-type experience without having to taste it. Shameful waste of good ket either way in my book :D

OP why would you want to do this? Are you trying to conceal the ketamine or something.

It's really hard to stuff brownies into your nose! ;)

But seriously, as said it would be nasty disgusting tasting... plus its a very inefficient ROA (read the Oral Ketamine thread about that), the effect is much more in the body just like with oral cannabis.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother. Funny idea tho.

I think the ketamine would mostly survive the heating to be honest. Smoking ketamine with a butane lighter produces some effect so I'm sure some would survive. But why bother?

So hold on a sec...is there a successful way to smoke or vaporize K for some effect? I always assumed it was not smokeable

Good point that actually - hadn't really thought of that. Have smoked ket in a bong once or twice and it's definitely effective. The smoke is beyond foul and shreds your throat but I guess if it survives direct heat like that it would survive the baking. Would still taste revolting and be horribly wasteful though :D

Still not a certainty, thermolysis and pyrolysis is not only dependent on the temperature but also the duration of that temperature. For instance pistol crabs with 'cavitation weapons' have a sort of squirt gun that can heat the water around to 4000 degrees celcius... Just its for a fraction of a second! Showing that temperatures don't say everything.

So brief heating could be sustained by the ketamine but an extensive period of baking at what, 180 oC could gradually break it down into possibly harmful compounds. And that would mess up your dosages, no way to know how much survived.

Hurdles to think about I figure?
