Opioids Making intranasal use "taste" better...

Hi,

Been using rx narcos for years and this month I'm trying out opana (oxymorphone) extended release. Unlike dilaudid (hydromorphone) and oxycodone, the "taste" of opana via intranasal use is just disgusting and rank. I can't describe it, but it's certainly awful.

Can anyone share any knowledge on something I can mix in to make it better/more sweet like dilaudid is? I would have no idea where to start. My first idea was using the sugars from pixie sticks--- so as you can see, obviously I could use a veterans knowledge here.

The drip will still taste like shit, just bittersweet shit...

You could try plugging (rectal administration) if you're up to it. Or you can buy some Miracle Berry tablets. (I wonder how that would work)

I don't advise snorting sugar because it irritates the nasal passages. Pixie Stix also have a huge amount of citric, malic, etc acids. Bad for your nose!

Not quite sure how they work but it might be worth giving it a try. Would you happen to know if any of the large grocers would carry it? Kroger, Safeway, Winco, ect?

I'm not sure how helpful this is, but in my own personal experience when I switched from any pill, for example opana to roxis, it took time before I started really liking the drip. I remember sniffing a roxi and saying opana is soo much better, but I soon aqouired a taste for roxis. Of course all pills are going to taste like chemical shit and may burn a little, but that's the trade off for that roa. Now you could try other methods if you really can't handle it, obviously plugging would be the next best option, and intravenous being another but more intense and dangerous route for a newbie.

For obvious reasons I can't say I'm too interested in plugging. But as the taste is so bitter and off-putting, I'd be willing to try. Does anyone know of any good guides on bluelight? Do you capsulate it before using it? I wouldn't even know.

IV is definitely not something for me. I know with my level of dependence as a chronic pain patient and the high I might receive that such is a road I wouldn't want to even turn down. I can imagine a darkness for which I may not escape.

I am not a newbie considering the swath of various opiates I've tried and encountered, but various methods are still beyond me in that sense.

I tried mixing it with Vitamin C which was a terrible idea--- the burning is incredible. Next I tried it with some soma and endocet, which makes it much more bearable that original. Also, shaving the exterior coating of the opana off seems to make a substantial difference in taste.

I also couldn't find Miracle Berry at any of the local drug stores, but may be ordering it down the line if opana is something I can continue with. I may just go back to one of the enjoyable tabs such as oxycodone.

Shave off the outer coating before crushing and snorting.. That's where the dye and shit is, which can contribute to the taste of the drip. There is a plugging mega thread on here, just use the search engine. The best way is to just prepare it like you were going to shoot it, and use a needle-less syringe/lube to get it up there. It doesn't hurt, and it isn't gay. But whatever floats your banana boat.

Ha, I wasn't worried about it being "gay" or not, as a decade of opiates have required quite a familiarity with suppositories--- unfortunately.

Would you happen to know if plugging it has a similar bioavailability to IV or would it be closer to intranasal?

Even after shaving the coating I've noticed the opana still has a very distinct taste, unlike anything else I've had. Not exactly bitter, but still quite disgusting. I was wondering if they made it taste so terrible as to discourage crushing, but who knows such things?

Oxymorphone nasal bioavailabilty [43%] orals low 10-20% Rectal ~10%

So it seems that plugging is close to oral administration. I am not all that familiar with the metabolic properties of oxymorphone unfortunately, but it seems that nasal is your best bet, short of IV which I do not recommend you start doing just because it doesn't taste good.

Your best bet if you want to continue snorting it would be try and find something to cut it with, that is water soluble and lacks the 'vile' taste of certain compounds. Maybe something like lactose. I forget at the moment but the popular cuts for heroin here on the east coast are all pretty benign in regards to burning and taste, maybe try and find out what they use. Also, you could snort little little bumps at a time, in order to reduce the amount of powder hanging around yoru nose at any given time.
