For all you greenlighters...ones e-mailing me and posting on here. if you can't figure out how to make GHB maybe you shouldn't be making it. not to be a dick (normally i would respond), but hell, i researched it years ago and found the proper instructions! sorry for the waste of a post - feel free to close it.

judging from the fact that i'm the only person i could find using the search on this site to have asked about making ghb, i'm assuming this is targeted to myself. let me clarify the reasons for my post:
i've ordered the kits in the past when they were legal. made it no problem, used it responsibly and found it very enjoyable and found it helpful in releaving chronic pain i've experienced. i've done research on the web (erowid, etc.) to find out how to make ghb without one of those straightforward kits, just could never get straight info about where to actually obtain the ingredients without risk of being flagged and whether or not some alternative sources for the ingredients would be safe for human consumption. that aside, this is the only inquiry i've made on the subject and hopefully got the answers i was looking for. but yeah, thanks for the help. :)

and to that comment, all i can say is that it seems it was a LOT easier to obtain the sort of information i was looking for a few years ago when it was still legal.
 
All you need is GBL and sodium hydroxide. Email me and I'll help you out with a GBL source. I;ve got dozens.
Those kits are bullshit, btw. Way overpriced.

This is all you haveta do. Btw, any "recipe" that calls for vinegar to adjust the pH is bullshit!
1) Dissolve 63g of NaOH (Red Devil Lye) in 200ml water
2) Add the NaOH solution to 120ml of GBL (gamma-butyrolactone) while stiring. Note: Add slowly. Reaction is extrememly exothermic.
3) You can check the pH if you want but if you followed the directions exactly and your GBL was good quality the pH will be perfect.
4) Evap off the liquid if you want the waxy solid Na-GHB or dillute the solution to 1 quart if you want the liquid.
 
Don't tell people to use Red Devil Lye....
In fact people Don'tuse red devil lye!
It has no standards set for human consumption etc.. Which means it could be full of heavy metals or worse. The worst part being you won't get sick right away from lead or mercury poisoning. It will build up over time and once you have it all is lost...
There are legit suppliers for USP grade NaOH and KOH on the web.... They cost a little bit more but are well worth it :)

So tell me, does the GBL have "standards set for human consumption etc.. "?
NaOH from Red devil Lye is fine for human consumption assuming you arent gonna injest obscene amounts of it.
