Making DMT tea from crystals

Can you brew a tea using DMT crystals alone? If so can you please give me a recipe for it.

No, DMT is not active orally without MAOI.
You could probably safely eat up to a gram of DMT with no effects at all, assuming you don't have a MAOI in your system.

If you consume a strong MAOI before ingesting (moclobemide, syrian rue etc) the effects will eseentially be that of ayahuasca - intense 4-8 hour mushroom-like trip.

Why on earth wouldn't you just save yourself the bitter taste and stuff it in a gelcap?

^I did that once with synthetic DMT. I didn't start tripping for 4 hours. I've no idea why it took so long or if it had anything to do with being in a gelcap or not. Oral DMT with an MAOI is definitely one of the more frustratingly mysterious drugs I've done when it comes to timing. When it comes to mimosa I typically boil down the tea, scrape up the dust, and stuff it into gelcaps for just the reason you allude to. But it invariably takes 1.5 to 2 hours to come on this way (takes 1.5 times as much in quantity and lasts twice as long, too) whereas if I dump the same dust (I call it Folger's instant ayahuasca) into hot water and down the nasty stuff it'll usually hit hard in 20 minutes just like if I had the normal tea. Gelatin "should" just dissolve rapidly, spill the contents into the HCl solution that is stomach acid and absorb almost as fast as if it had been dissolved in a solution beforehand, only in my experience it rarely ever works that way. I also get the weird "gallbladder emptying after you eat" phenomenon where I'll start tripping again after I think it's over because I eat a cookie or something. Lately, if I use gelcaps I inject water into them with a syringe before I swallow them, which gets more consistent results while still having the advantage of avoiding the taste.
