jewels among the bottle tops
a tiara of tinsel
and confetti coins.
paddle-pop stick train tracks
and coke can cars
traverse the landscape
of the kitchen floor.
dirty dishwater becomes
the primordial soup
of life and playground
for deep-sea divers.
the tabletop an air-
field where flying
cutlery collide with
condiment control towers.
pebble people
squatter in the mailbox
and flower fairies dine
from gumnut goblets.
inside a furniture fortress
sleeping beauty purrs
while her chivalrous knight
duels dog-like dragons.

i actually wrote this a couple of years ago when one of my friends became an uncle.... we were baby-sitting his nephew to give his sister a break to spend time with the new baby. anywayz, i was going through some of my old writing books and "discovered" it and thought it was something i'd like to share.........
