Make an Avatar for a n00b :-)

Why have I never thought of this before? 8)

In a similar fashion to my wildly-successful ;) thread in EADD a while ago (Avatar Telethon - it's for Charity folks!), everyone on Bluelight, from old skoolers to n00bs, is cordially invited, nay, requested, to post up some new avatars, for other people to use.

Please don't just copy avatars from other forums - use Google Image Search to find cool images to use as a basis.

1. Save image to your computer
2. Crop - resize - brighten up - whatever
3. Upload to www.imageshack.us or photobucket.com or your favourite image host
4. Post it here

All avatars must be a maximum of 50 x 50 pixels and 9.8kb.

If anyone does decide to utilise one of the posted avatars, please make a post in the thread, so the mods can update things to say it's been taken. You can't have two people turning up in the same thread with the same avatar, it would be such a completely unfabulous faux pas. 8o ;)

I hereby present a few I cobbled up tonight while looking for ideas for our very dearest n00b, Mr Jabin2. I hope he likes at least one of them. :)

To take one of these avatars, do this:

1. Right-click on it, and select 'save to disc...'
2. Save it somewhere memorable (you could rename it at this point too)
3. Click here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/profile.php?do=editavatar
4. Click on the 'Browse' button and select the file you just saved
5. Click the 'Save Changes' button.

Job's a good 'un. %) =D

P.S. Don't forget to make a post in this thread with your funky new avatar. I can guarantee it will make you 69% more attractive to the opposite sex. Or the same one, even, it's all good. :D
 
What a GRAND idea felix! And congratulations on your 10,000th post you little geek %)

That mushroom one is quite cool but no matter how hard I try I just can't bring myself to change my avatar. It's been with me from the start, through thick and thin, and I wan't to keep it!

I'll have a search and post up any nice ones that I come across. This cropping nonsense sounds a bit tricky though :/
 
It sounds like a good idea...unfortunately, I had enough trouble finding my own avatar. I'll do my best to contribute later tonight, though.

seriously though... mine doesnt appear correctly, the colors are faded and shit.
