Opioids Major headaches while on Oxycodone hcl (Roxicodone, Oxynorm)

Hi guys.

So, Ive been taking oxy every now and then and never had this problem before..
Last couple night's that ive been using oxy (Orally & snorting), I've been having these serious headaches and I havent been enjoying the nice feeling because of that. I have some sort of chronic migren, but this feels different, you know when you even slightly shake your head you can feel it immediately getting worse..

I thought that it might be cause of the snorting so I popped 30mg 5 minutes ago orally, ill edit if it's creeping back again..

anyone here having the same problem? or maby even a solution to this?

some opiates are known to cause headaches more likely than other opiates. however, this definitely differs from person to person. in addition, different ROA's are more likely to cause headaches over other ROA's. i occasionally get headaches from snorting any substance. i get headaches on suboxone, but not really from any other opiates. thats just me though


try taking 250-500mgs APAP (tylenol) and 200-400mgs naproxen sodium (aleve) and see if that helps your headaches become more manageable

don't go overboard with the OTC painkillers though as they can cause some serious side affects such as liver failure with APAP, and ulcers or stomach bleeding with aleve. these side effects are more likely to occur when combined with alcohol, so definitely stay clear of alcohol!!! i dont even know why you would want to drink as alcohol likely causes headaches, not only that but it ruins the experience of opiates IMO

This sometimes happens to me as well, with any opiates. It's a common side effect. I usually take Ibuprofen instead of tylenol, because it seems to be more effective on headaches than tylenol for me. I get migraines as well, so it might be connected.

I didn't even know that these Oxynorm's does include aspirin, I was just wondering that couple of days ago.
But the headache it's just weird! Cause I've never have been suffering headaches while on any opiate in my whole life..
In the last couple of weeks I've been taking oxycodone occasionally, but in the last couple of days it have been causing these headaches..

It have to be because of the snorting and other things.. eating maby?

But now I dont feel like it's even coming tonight and tonight I took it orally.
And no worries, I dont mix opiates with alcohol.. It just ruins the bliss

Proper hydration and maybe an ibuprofen.
