what's the main symptom or symptoms of panic attacks?
fear of dying?Main symptoms are fast heartbeat, sweating, anxiety, thinking that you're going to have an heart attack. And yes - panic.
From what I read and experienced, having schedule works fabulously - I use hard drugs less often. But anyway, drugs are bad, get to whatever annoys you instead of running from your pain. Psychologically healthy people don't use drugs. When I first started doing drugs, the rule was only used during the Weekend night, don't spend more than $300 a month on drugs.
Then 10 years later all the rules went out the window.
That one is never happened to me. And from what I read, it is not often the case. So, it is likely not what is going in your situation. Or maybe it is. I don't know, never searched serious health impacting information at forum like BL (very good one, though maybe not for exact health impacting information).Yes, that's one of the main ones - fear that you will have an heart attack and die. Panic attack is not one thing but fear of an heart attack is one of its possible symptoms.

You and the rest of the mods should know by the hearing the other day with my case manager and psychiatrist.Breathlessness/heavy breathing and shaking are some of the telltale physical signs. Just curious why you're asking us. Do you think you have the disorder? If so, I'd let the doctor decide that one.
?I regretfully have many obligations.
No problemHey, @Specified
Can I post an answer in jest (lounge-ish shit) without getting beat the fuck up? I think it would get some laughs but maybe this is not the place for that?
Just running it by you first no problem if it's a problem don't want no problems, brother.
Peace
On the real tip:
Mine would be a sense of vertigo and shortness of breath (probably hyperventilating)... but attacks are super rare these days.
The problem is that this is not a lounge thread so I will refrain. Not everything is funny or should be made so.No problem
I didn't have one ever, judging from this description. I had chills, sweat, loss of control (primarily physical, like literally cannot move, speak), but I definitely was not dying or whatever, more shame of being in this state.A panic attack is where, in spite of often seeming to have no cause, you feel this underlying and inescapable sense of dread and fear. It's hard to describe. As some other posters mentioned it can feel like you're dying.
I've had a few, fortunately though I haven't had them very often, and a few of the ones I have had I suspect may have been related to my drug use, most of the rest were ptsd related. A couple I really have no idea what caused it.
