Mental Health Main symptom?

Yes, that's one of the main ones - fear that you will have an heart attack and die. Panic attack is not one thing but fear of an heart attack is one of its possible symptoms.

When I first started doing drugs, the rule was only used during the Weekend night, don't spend more than $300 a month on drugs.
Then 10 years later all the rules went out the window.
From what I read and experienced, having schedule works fabulously - I use hard drugs less often. But anyway, drugs are bad, get to whatever annoys you instead of running from your pain. Psychologically healthy people don't use drugs.

That one is never happened to me. And from what I read, it is not often the case. So, it is likely not what is going in your situation. Or maybe it is. I don't know, never searched serious health impacting information at forum like BL (very good one, though maybe not for exact health impacting information).

I am sorry, maybe I am taking BL too lightly, more like informational (experiential), social resource. Though I DID get hard information from BL - like cold extraction method and being conservative and thoughtful on whatever drug you're planning to use.

I am not using hard drug daily. It seems BL advice is irrelevant to those people. BL advice is for those that are not there yet.

Anyway, hard drugs are bad. And if you I am using, my problem is emotional, psychological, not drugs.

Your situation could be different. Though using hard drugs (it seems to me) is always self-medicating. Not having fun, irresponsible or whatever person. He/she/they are fine, just don't have anyone to talk to. I believe that. It works (maybe, for now, few days) for me.

My words seem high, drunken above? They are. But I m honest, at least,

Had panic attacks few times after heavy amphetamine binges. I wrote my experience. But here description from health related site:

Panic attack WEBMD

Main symptoms listed are:
  • "Racing" heart
  • Feeling weak, faint, or dizzy
  • Tingling or numbness in the hands and fingers
  • Sense of terror, or impending doom or death
  • Feeling sweaty or having chills
  • Chest pains
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Feeling a loss of control

First video that popped out when I searched "panic attack" on YouTube: Signs of panic attack

That is all consistent with my experience. When having experience that I would classify as "panic attack", for me, it always involves fear of death. As I said I had panic attacks only after amphetamine binges so fear of an heart attack shouldn't be surprising. But I see it this way - if the fear isn't extreme I wouldnt call it panic I would call it anxiety.

But hey, thats just me and I am not a doctor.

Breathlessness/heavy breathing and shaking are some of the telltale physical signs. Just curious why you're asking us. Do you think you have the disorder? If so, I'd let the doctor decide that one.

You and the rest of the mods should know by the hearing the other day with my case manager and psychiatrist.

Hey, @Specified
Can I post an answer in jest (lounge-ish shit) without getting beat the fuck up? I think it would get some laughs but maybe this is not the place for that?
Just running it by you first no problem if it's a problem don't want no problems, brother. :p
Peace

On the real tip:
Mine would be a sense of vertigo and shortness of breath (probably hyperventilating)... but attacks are super rare these days.

No problem

A panic attack is where, in spite of often seeming to have no cause, you feel this underlying and inescapable sense of dread and fear. It's hard to describe. As some other posters mentioned it can feel like you're dying.

I've had a few, fortunately though I haven't had them very often, and a few of the ones I have had I suspect may have been related to my drug use, most of the rest were ptsd related. A couple I really have no idea what caused it.

I didn't have one ever, judging from this description. I had chills, sweat, loss of control (primarily physical, like literally cannot move, speak), but I definitely was not dying or whatever, more shame of being in this state.

No those are all symptoms of a panic attack too. Presumably not everyone gets every symptom everytime though.
